It's been a hot minute since I've looked at Homecoming, and City of Heroes always remains one of the single greatest gaming experiences in my life's memory mostly due to the people I shared in those experiences with. I'm hoping to reconnect with some of them, and potentially make some new connections while I rediscover the game for a second time.

 

If anyone remembers me, my name was Impadivus and I played an energy/energy blaster from day of the game's release. I was a member of, and for a while led, the supergroup Jagged Legion on Pinnacle. I also made a CoH music video showcasing the energy blaster's power Nova that was popular for a short time called "Nova Trip".

 

If any of my old Legionnaires are still kicking around here on Homecoming, or any Pinnacle Drunkards escaped rehab into Homecoming, I'd be happy to share some stores, missions, and see what shenanigans we can get up to here.

We used to do a lot of LRSF with the Twilight Avengers. I led the main VG on Pinnacle, Nites of Darkness.

[Team-up power/nuke - Could be a future incarnate power.]

I'd like to see a Team-up power/nuke. An upgraded version of the Judgement slot with a super-long cooldown and dependent on having at least 4 other teammates.  Basically have a player activate it, then the teammates have 5 seconds to hit theirs and then it fires off if there is at least 5 total players that activated it in time.

 

 

There could be a generic version for a mixed team

If 5 of the players are the core hero AT's (tank,scrapper,blaster,def,troller) then a special "heroic" themed team-up power fires off instead

If 5 of the players are the core villain AT's (Brute,stalker,MM, corr,dom) then a special "villain" themed  team-up power fires off instead

There could be higher tier versions, maybe have a special one if a team includes the 5 core AT's along with either a sentinel and warshade/PB or sentinal and a widow/crab.

 

Or even ones that trigger for having 5 of one AT

 

For instance, if 5 brutes all activate it, maybe a quick cutscene activates showing each brute punching and then have the nuke go off.

 

Since we know that cutscenes could be created, maybe do a FAST cutscene quickly showing each character and then the power activates.

 

This could be an incarnate slot, with the different tiers unlocking different team-ups.

My main on live was an Energy/Energy Brute. With all of your accolades and io's, you can become a god.  

 

1. Know how to time Overload's crash with energy drain so you don't lose your end and detoggle. 

2. While Overload is down, use your barrier and/or demonic aura (i forgot the hero accolade equilivant) to keep your defenses through the roof.

[Make enhanc converters less random.]

You're doing the converters wrong.  Instead of taking a crap recipe and rolling until you get what you want, you should try another method. 

 

Take a bunch of crap yellow enhancements and convert them until you get a considerably better one, like a defense or healing or something in the 1-2 million range and then stop and move onto the next one. Then you can convert from there to get a LOTG or a numina. Now sell one of those off to get more converters. It helps to have a list up of all the possible enhancements by level range too. You will need a bunch of converters to start off but with this method, you can almost get an infinite loop going if you're paying attention to what you're doing and doing the right conversions.

a little. melt armor - fireball, pyronic judgement, ET, total focus/bonesmasher and never dying from overload being up. I had 10k hours on nrg/nrg on live.  This thing blasts through team content

My main on live was energy/energy and I went with a different kind of build. I've had all of the epic/patrons over the years. This one is a beast. But keep in mind I only use it for high level content. I know how to time the overload crash so my toggles don't drop. Note, this is not a tank, i'm basically using it for speed runs and burning down AV's in a team setting. When overload is down, i can pop demonic and barrier until it's up again, which isn't very long.
