New version released
-
20190824.01
- Implemented "freebiesc", a more compact popmenu for smaller displays - use /popmenu freebiesc to see it.

However, I have had to go back to using a older version of this (20190610.04) due to having a smaller screen and resolution. The layered menus make it very frustrating to use the latest version.
In the older version, I use the "Style 2" menu for everything, and then manually attune all the IOs if I'm testing the build at lower levels. Yes its more work, but its a work around due to my hardware requirements.
Still, many thanks for providing this tool to speed up building characters.
I'm sorry you had that issue, I've taken some time to try to sort this out. Can you test the new version (which I added /popmenu freebiesc to) I just released and let me know if that works for you? If not, would you mind sharing your resolution with me? I might be able to come up with something that works better for you.

New version released

20190820.01
- Adjusted logic for attuned enhancements
- Removed crashy level -1 enhancements
There shouldn't be any more issues with the menu, I went through and tested things pretty good after this build.
Thank you guys for the continuous QA - this wouldn't be possible without your feedback!

Out of curiosity, is there a way to copy a character that already exists on the main servers to Justin? I have a 50 I want to test some Incarnate stuff on, and granted, I could just twink-up, but that's a lot of extra steps when I have the rest of the build done on "live".
No, the characters get copied over from live (Reunion server) every time the database gets fully copied. As it's been awhile since that's happened, and there's no set schedule as to when it'll happen again, I would recommend just recreating the character manually. You can use things like the popmenu I created or using the merit vendor to give yourself enhancements a lot easier than typing it all out by hand.

Stupid non related question, how do you bring up that stats info on the right of your screen? Is there one for defensives too?
Click "Powers" in your powers tray, then "Show Combat Attributes" - you can right-click and monitor up to 10 of them at any time. I wish they'd increase the number though, what with people having much larger screens (and more powerful processors that can do the calculations) these days! :)

When trying to get Entomb enhancements individually, it comes up as doesn't exist. I think it's because they're set to 'crafted' individually when they should be 'attuned'.
It's actually an issue with ALL AT and Event enhancements in my script; will be fixed shortly in the next release.

gaussian's enh F F (build up proc) and sudden acceleration kb to kd enh F show up as does not exist
Gaussian's has a different set to solo piece it seems. I modified to below and it worked.
Single Piece: /boost Crafted_Gaussians_Synchronized_FireControl_F Crafted_Gaussians_Synchronized_FireControl_F 50
while set is (notice '-' between fire control)
Whole set: /boostset Gaussians_Synchronized_Fire-Control 50
on Sudden Acceleration, the script has it with an A where there should be an E
Script: boostset Sudden_Accelaration 50
Set is: boostset Sudden_Acceleration 50
Thanks for all the hard work! This is a really helpful tool.
Excellent finds.
- Sudden Acceleration - Stupid typo on my part that I had already fixed at one point. I'll fix it again.
- Gaussian's - I had to come up with a way to code this in because they're different when they should just be the same. Should be fixed going forward.
I'd like to suggest a quantity of generic feature if that's somehow possible. Even if it's a fixed amount like a batch of 5 or 10. I would absolutely want to spit out batches of 10 accuracies, 20 damage, 10 end reduction, 10 recharge, etc. Heck I needed 15 fly IOs for some other testing.
I've got batches in place for 1, 3, and 5. I'll add 10 as another option. Keep in mind though that each time I add something that affects the entire output, it makes the popmenu grow in size. I don't know if there's any downside to a huge popmenu (possibly longer to load) but the size is already ~3MB as of current release and after adding an option for 10, it grows to ~5MB. If there are no reported issues with size, I'll leave it; else I could replace 3 with 10 for quantities of 1, 5, and 10.

Hm. I'm clearly missing something. I downloaded and installed the menu, no problem. It pops up when I ask it to... great. I select some things... but... nothing happens. :(
What are you selecting? I tested them just now to make sure nothing is broken and don't have any issues myself. There should be a message in your System tab when you receive the enhancement (or if there's a bug with it). Could you check that for me please?

When trying to get regular (non-set) IOs from the popmenu, getting error "Enhancement set does not exist". Happens for all of them, regardless of quantity. Set IOs work just fine.
Edit: Looks like they all have "_A" at the end of the IO names that shouldn't be there. For example, the game is saying that "Crafted_Recovery_A" doesn't exist in the chat log, but the correct syntax when creating one is "Crafted_Recovery".
Edit 2: The set "Annihilation" (Targeted AoE Damage) is missing.
Thank you very much. This weekend I wrote a Python script to generate the popmenu and the "_A" was a typo on my part. Annihilation is missing from the Enhancement Sets page of ParagonWiki. Both reported issues have been fixed. Check the original post for the fixed menu file. Thanks so much for your help making the menu awesome!

After creating the correct folders in my coh directory and restarting the game, I still can't seem to get this to work. I should mention that I am not tech savvy and could have made a simple mistake somewhere.
Here's an example of where it needs to go.
I'll add this to the original post too for others.
-
Added PvP levels (25, 30, 40), quantities (1, 3, 5), and the ability to only get a single enhancement, versus the whole set.
If you have any issues, please let me know. I wrote a script to generate the entire popmenu, so it's a LOT easier to make changes now.
Thanks,

Brilliant!
Winter's Gift is missing from the event IOs. (Winters_Gift 50).
Thanks, it's not in the Merit Vendor so it got missed. Good eye!
I think the basic Endurance Modifcation IO is also missing from the list.
It's listed as "Recovery" but I'll rename it to "Endurance Modification" in the next version as it's more representative.
This is great, now being a jerk hacker and dupin rares is simples!
Gone to the Americans!
Step 1: Popmenu
Step 2: Jerk Hack
Step 3: ??
Step 4: Profit

A very minor point, relative path names begin with a dot. So it should be .\data\texts\English\menus (for Microsoft, forward slashes for everyone else).
Yeah, that's true. I added a preceding dot for clarity just in case it helps even one person.
it's hard to believe the "cacophony" and "convalescence" typos are still in there after all this time.
I think at the time of adding it to the game, it became easier to just leave it as is. Even looking at the code to get the "wrong" (right??) names, I saw several references to each.

What's this?
To make building your characters easier, I am sharing a popmenu that I made for the beta server. It's simple to install, easy to use, and powerful. You can add/set your character's inf, set their level, and give them enhancements.
How to install
Download freebies.mnu ver 20190824.01
Above is a file freebies.mnu. This .mnu file needs to go in your game's directory, in .\data\texts\English\menus\ .
For example: If your game is installed at C:\CoH\ then the menu needs to reside at C:\CoH\data\texts\English\menus\freebies.mnu.
Note: If you do not have a data directory in your CoH folder, you need to create the folder structure (e.g. right-click, new folder).
After it's there, restart your game (if it's launched) and either make a macro:
/macro free "popmenu freebies" /macro free "popmenu freebiesc"
Or call the command manually:/popmenu freebies /popmenu freebiesc
Using "popmenu freebies" the menus are nested, which lets you see more things at once.
Using "popmenu freebiesc" provides vertically stacked menus, better for smaller displays.

Freebies Popmenu - Give yourself levels, inf, and enhancements
in Open Beta Testing
Posted
Great suggestion; I'll add it to the next release, as well as Field Crafter (for Portable Workbench) and Pocket D VIP Gold Club Member (for Pocket D VIP Pass).
You shouldn't use a negative level (-1) for the level; there was actually a crash caused by me doing this (it's been force-fixed by changing /boost ... ... -1 to give level 1 enhancements instead) that I fixed in the older versions of the popmenu. Instead, use at least level 1. Otherwise, not a bad suggestion to have a couple "template" enhancement set groups. Possibly for a future update.
Those power pools are unlocked by default on Justin; I just made a new character, set it to level 50, chose powers, and had all of the pools (Soul Mastery, Mace Mastery, Leviathan Mastery, and Mu Mastery) available.
