  1. Just been rebuilding my old FRAD  i had on live and once you hit the higher levels it pretty much wipes most things , really fun wading in and seeing the mobs melt

  2. I will see your  squishy fingers and raise you a broken collar bone , cycling to work before x mas and a fly went in my ear causing me to lose control and hit a hedgerow at about 20 mph .OOh that hurt  !

turns out i broke my collar bone in 2 places needing 11 pins

  3. having played both pre IO days  kin was the winner from a speed point of view, pretty much steam rolled the mobs. / rad  for me was on a frad so hot feet and chokin cloud for dps/lockdown was a less active build but slower , if your having to debuff mobs to keep going i would have said the diffuculty was to high if your aiming for most reward vs time.

then again im old school pre ED player still getting my head around IO `s 😄

  4. im a casual player too and ihave raised similar issues , i find it hard to get teams full stop and when i have tried to set up them it seems people want uber xp progression or they leave.Just managed to get my 1st 50 and i had less than 10 teams altogether, the rest of the time it was a solo slog which i found exgatterated by the lack of funds compared to everyone else who seem to be slotted with io sets from the outset.

On those few teams i would feel the same, almost superfluous as pretty much everyone was steaming along and i was sidekicked the mobs were all plus 5 so i was barely hitting the mob let alone doing anything useful, this was ill/rad troller and even my debuffs seemed pointless.

Dropped out tbh and been on zwift instead lately

  5. Now i was thinking about the fallout power , i dont think i have ever took it even though i have play / rad a lot !

Now it says you need a dead team mate , will it work if you dont have a team mate as a debuff /damage dealer .

    Im guessing not  ?

  6. hello all, uk player returning after a long break and i have been on reuion but finding it hard to get any teamage as i starting from scratch and most people on are dinged toons doing tf?

would it be worth moving over to this server?

  7. Hello all  !

Although i have played a little on homecoming its probably been over a year since i played due to work family and my other interests that keep me fully occupied .

Recently had an accident where i broke my collarbone i 4 places so i am off work and cant cycle , so im  sitting here wondering wtf to do , then i thought COH  🙂

2 weeks after the initial break and i can move my hand enough to play in a sling if i have the keyboard in the right place so hope to catch you all in game .

  8. This is my current build  basedon te old perma PA build edit i just noticed that  pines has not slotted PA fully  , you get the idea though

My solution to the naming problem is to dip into other languages for words (or, if I'm lucky, actual names) with meanings relevant to my character.  It can take some digging, but I can usually find something that I like the sound of.  In the end, I'm the one who has to "live" with the name - whether someone gets it or not is secondary (although it is fun when I get a random /tell from someone who does).

Sometimes, I'll come up with a general idea for a name and dig around to see if there are similar types of terms in other languages.  For example, I wanted a cool name for a secret spy character, so I looked up whether other languages had equivalents of "Jane Doe" (i.e., a tag for an unidentified body).  That led to two character names I've used a lot - "Jeanne Truc" and "Lee Three" - which in turn helped me fine tune the character concepts.  Again, not so concerned if other people don't make the connection - I like how they sound, and I like the concepts they convey in my head.

Anyway, here are two of my favorite sites for name inspirations:

    https://www.wiktionary.org/

    https://www.momjunction.com/baby-names/all/

I went through  a phase of naming my alts after  gods from other  cultures  eh kalvelis for a fire/ rad troller  after a lithuanian  god of the  sun

One huge piece of advice: Fill Blind with damage procs. This will turn your weakest attack into your strongest by a good margin.

The guide from 2009 that someone posted advises against doing this, arguing that slotting for damage would be better. I'm not sure if procs worked differently at that time, but this is definitely false now. With 4 orange damage procs and one purple, it will have an average damage of approximately 300. If you wanted to go really extreme, 4 orange damage procs and 2 purples will give it an average damage of almost 400. (This assumes you are not getting any enhancement recharge from alpha, like agility or spiritual. If you do, these numbers drop significantly, but they will still be way higher than they would be with any other slotting.)

By comparison, slotting for damage and taking musculature core will only have it doing an average damage of about 70,

Second piece of advise: Put achilles heel chance for res debuff proc into rad infection. This will have a 20% chance per 10 seconds to do an additional -20% res debuff for 10 seconds. So in other words, if you have both enervating field and rad infection on a target, they will be at -42.5 res about 1/5 of the time. This effectively raises the -res of enervating field to -26.5.

You will have to explain damage procs to me i have no idea what they are   :)

  11. My old  fire/kin  has a very basic build , its been around the  block a few times  and was 1st played pre ED

  13. Much as i do not want to dfb  i dont think there is a need to nerf it , as said above its a private server and a game .

If people want to PL to 50  and not do the content its up to them  and as experienced players i think we must make allowances for those that are excited  or misguided  dependent on your viewpoint .

Maybe create a channel  for  them  to keep  the lfg channel clearer ?

As DXP is free albeit with no inf reward  i found the  salvage prices in AE currently off set  the inf loss so i solo`d  till 19  then i have  found  it  easy enough to get a team , i just add  not dfb in my lfg request .
