It isnt like you think. It never feels like you have to use weak attacks to build energy and then use the energy for good attacks. It flows very smoothly.

Honestly, CO is leaps and bounds better than CoH graphically and combatwise. More and better costumes too. And you can hybridize more than 2 meager sets. Except there is one MASSIVE problem which in the end makes CoH immensely better: CO was abandoned. It was. We've had 1 new powerset and just a few new powers in the old sets, 4 or so sweeping changes to power sets for QoL and updated looks, and ZERO expansions. We were promised numerous things and NONE were implemented in regards to being able to be grey heroes or villains and an expansion. The level cap is the same as it was 11 years ago. And I assure you, your data is correct. I log in from time to time and you're lucky if there is 200 people on at once and you can see the amount of players by looking at the maps and servers. It's sickeningly sad. What a waste of potential. First, they focused on vehicles and that was all they did for like 2 years. Then they did nothing. NOTHING. Now they have the predatory lock boxes. Secondly, and to top it aaaaall off; theyve now gotten rid of subscriptions completely. Once a credit card you have in the game expires, you can never re sub again. No one new can sub either. And if you have 24 characters like me, guess what? You have to spend about 300 dollars to upgrade them all from silver to gold so youre not stuck with just one powerset. Hybridization is a HUGE part of champs online. It makes me fking sick thinking about the waste of a game CO is. My card expires in 2021. When that happens, I will never play CO again. Very sad. But Cryptic and perfect world are pathetic.

Most unique names arent going to be reused so that isnt a good reason. This universe has 60k players. So yeah, it makes sense in the marvel universe that you dont have 2 scarlet witches. But it makes no sense here to take something like Frost or thunderbird or insert any other simple super hero name and restrict it to one char. Id take 1000 frosts over 1 person with a name like atomic french fry or a name that is just a description of powers or personality that are akin to calling yourself "hey shoot fireballs from my hands"

GM Edit: If you've somehow found this thread and not any of the others that deal with this issue, please note that the policy has changed as of September 2019: Im seeing a crap load of rip off characters lately with the complete names (a nick fury, silver surfer, captain marvel, Joker, Iron Man, the hulk and that was just in the last 2 hours). Maybe im wrong, and i hope i am, but i feel like NCsoft could be pressured by Marvel and DC to shut us down over blatant copyright violations like that. Theyll say NCsoft has a responsibility to shut us down in order to prevent their product from being used to rip off IPs from marvel and DC (and whomever else). Come on people. At least make your uncreative characters have a different name. Dont freakin call yourself captain marvel and make your char look exactly like her.

Since NCsoft or cryptic arent running this mug, can we lift the restrictions? There is no reason for us to not be able to have more than one hero with the same name. Far too many generic names like "whiplash", "thirteen", "toxin", (which i proudly own lol on my server), etc etc etc are taken. Even lame ass champions online has no restriction on names being the same.

Can any one confirm this is supposed to be this way?

The Arachnos helmets cant be re colored on non arachnos characters, and the crab back pack shows up in the tailor and character creator for non arachnos characters but doesnt show when you enter back in to the game with that back pack selected. Bug or by design for these issues? Cuz id sure love that female round widow helmet for non arachnos ATs but not stuck with it being purple-ish blue >.<

Some of the restrictions on costumes are pretty bad. Not being able to have 2 different shoulder armors for example. Or not being able to wear the tech knight chest detail on bare skin. Was there ever a mod for this? I mean, there are NPCs with options that we dont have, so it has to be possible. Like that giant bad guy in the armor with the scorpion tail.

...it doesn't show up when i leave the char creator or tailor. Again, this is non arachnos characters. Like my Spine/dark armor user. Very irritating.

Something where an invading force forces heroes and villains to unite. And more snow places! Hell i dont remember if there are snow zones already
