  1. To clarify, yes, I was more focused on increasing the amount of 47+ spawns (near-50) around Portal Corps. It's a valid point about door missions guaranteeing the level you need and I'm not advocating camping spawn points. I noticed an issue where often people are looking for street encounters in that area where a mere 2 players can keep it clear. The level 41s in that area don't make sense, imho, so I wanted to suggest retooling the area in that regard. I had thought about the islands to the north but that's a great area for the monkey badge so didn't think that would be ideal. As for the monsters, it might be worth doing something there since there are no real use for them unless you can get the Monstrous Aether drops from there. I haven't looked it up but assume you can't. Otherwise, what purpose do they serve? They can't be soloed and there's not enough reward to hunt them down, which is a shame. If you could get Monstrous Aether drops, they would be more worthwhile and people might even visit the Monster Island zone for something besides exploration badges. Perhaps "Monster" Aethers that convert 10 to 1 for "Monstrous"? Just a thought.
  2. If the possibility of increasing mob levels around Portal Corp is considered, so too should the possibility of relocating the mission doors. Win/win. As I said, there are already zones with higher level mobs near lower level mission doors. It's already a thing so it really shouldn't be an impediment.
  3. I did say near-50, not 50+. Just an extension of what is already right in front of Portal Corp.
  4. Yes, PI is 40 to 50 but the level progression begins near the ferry and scales up toward the Portal Corp area, except the DE on the ridges. It's not mostly 50s running around the area looking for mobs but typically high 40s looking for the last push to 50. I was doing just that myself and saw other high 40s running the same circuit I was and half the time it was just us looking at each other. It occurred to me that this happens fairly often so I came here to make a suggestion. While there are a few doors for lower level missions, it would be no different than other zones, most notably Founder's Falls. How many times have you heard "Hot door" when going to a mission along the south wall? Cimerora has EBs standing outside commonly used caves for ITF. Lower level mission doors is a valid point but it's very easy to come in high from flying or out wide to come at the doors from the water and not have to travel over the ridges. Even so, the amount of room the doors require for access is a small fraction of the wasted area the DEs cover.
  5. The few near-50 spawn points in PI are often heavily camped yet all of the 41-ish mobs up on the ridges around Portal Corp never get any attention. How about boosting or replacing the DE to near 50 to provide more spawn points in that level range on that end of the island? Thanks!
  6. So it seems it was a Windows issue. I discovered that every game and video appeared very choppy. Tried everything, had an IT friend check it out to no avail. Broke down and bought a Radeon RX 6600, just installed it and ran both CoX and MDS with no issue. Thanks for all the assistance!
  7. Windowed mode seems to be the temporary fix. If I do that before exiting, no problem. I did discover that if I go Windowed then back to 1920x1200, the game looks fine but the cursor correlation is off in game in the reverse effect with the pointer acting as if it's 2560x1600.
  8. Here is the current conversation on the MIDS Discord. If you can think of anything, I'm happy to try. Thanks for your time. — Yesterday at 5:08 PM Yes, indeed. It has to be something with CoH since it only started after the recent patch. I've been running MIDS and CoH simultaneously for a long time. Zed — Today at 2:15 AM This is most puzzling. You probably should call hc support as well. Completely random things to try: After mids is started, kill edge webview subprocesses: taskkill /f /im msedgewebview2.exe Try running coh in windowed/borderless window modes. Kinda running on empty with this case 🤷 Shield — Today at 11:51 AM Doesnt the HC Launcher also use edge webview? I have not seen this and Mids is always open when I am in CoX, but I run in borderless 95% of the time. Shield — Today at 11:53 AM Are you running CoX at a different resolution than your desktop’s native 2500x1600? — Today at 2:06 PM Running CoX at different resolution for sure but will need to check setting when I get home tonight. Will try the taskkill then as well. Also discovered that if I run then close MIDS then run CoX, exiting has the same problem. Will also contact HC support tonight. Shield — Today at 2:50 PM Is the 3/4 range you mentioned with mouse proportional to the resolution difference between desktop and game? I.e, are you running CoX at… 1920x1200? That’s darn close to 3/4 — Today at 8:53 PM Yes, 1920 x 1200 is the setting. — Today at 9:04 PM Tried the taskkill in the CMD window in both the MIDS folder and the C:\users... folder after the problem occurred and got this both times: ERROR: The process "msedgewebview2.exe" not found. — Today at 9:11 PM With CoX in windowed mode, ran MIDS, closed both, no problem.
  9. Apologies. I just did another test and it turns out this only happens when I simultaneously run MIDS. I'll post on their Discord.
  10. I have a Radeon™ RX 560 video card with updated driver, running 2560 x 1600 display. Windows 10. Ever since the last patch, 03/12, on exit from the game, my mouse will not move across the entire screen, like it's reduced to about 3/4 range from the top and left edges of the screen. Even more strange is the correlation is off so if I move the mouse all the way to the bottom right as far as it will go, the pointer is still far away from the corner but will click the Notifications icon to the right of the date/time. This is the only game or program that does this and I have to use the keyboard to reboot to get it back to normal. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. When a character is mezzed in some fashion, have the health bar change color (to purple maybe, possibly different colors for different mez) in the team or league window so that those teammates with Clear Mind type powers don't need to wait for someone to call out "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" in chat they may be too busy to watch for.
  12. Apologies if either of these ideas have been hashed out already. 1. On the rare occasion that one might choose not to take an Epic pool set, allow for a 5th Power pool instead. 2. When a character reaches 50, allow to take any selection in a Power pool set without requiring others in the set be chosen first.
  13. I find I often do a /respec or 2 throughout a character's 40s and 2 issues keep running through my mind. 1. Two or three more trays for enhancements would be nice for doing a /respec at 47 where I'm looking to sell the 45 SOs to help generate the necessary funds to purchase 50 SOs. As is, there is usually a dozen or so enhancements that get trashed because there is no more room on the trays for them. Alternatively, finalizing a /respec could give you cash back for unslotted enhancements. I seem to recall that's how it used to be before the extra trays were added but I could be wrong. I understand once you have a 50, cash is pretty easy to come by but this would greatly help new players who don't have a 50 yet and veteran players who have already spent over a billion slotting IOs on another character and haven't gotten back around to farming just yet. 2. Incorporate a button to fill the trays with as many remaining enhancements as possible so you don't have to individually drag each one onto the trays.
  14. Endurance issues with many of the power sets. Either reduce end cost to make them viable for extended fights or add a new Epic or Pool Power set that includes another Stamina-like option. Endless possibilities for content. Paragon City is located in Rhode Island so what about the rest of Earth? Open up a European location, perhaps at the border junction of Germany/France/Switzerland. Australia? Brazil? Assault the Rikti homeworld epic story arc? Better pvp balance so a Support could go one on one with a Tank or Melee. Maybe a pvp Pool Power set? Edit: The Teleport super move could function differently with the map open. Hover over the map and teleport to the selected location in zone. The cursor could be green if you have the endurance to travel that far or red if it's too far.
