I downloaded Mids Reborn from the link in the pinned thread.
Before the installer would run it told me I needed .Net 6.0 or higher
I installed .Net 7.0.
The install ran successfully.
Now when I try to run Mids I get a message telling me I need .Net 6.0.
So where do I go from here? Eager to get back into CoH but I need to build my characters.

Play StyleI mostly group with the character. When Blizzard is down I obviously single target. I like the single target gameplay because it generally only gets me aggro from one mob at a time and with Aid Self and Hibernate I can pretty much take care of myself - I am generally not a burden on healers. So, I am not really interested in chasing defenses. Status protection on the other hand is something that would be great as long as I don't sacrifice damage for it. That is my play style with this toon and this post is not about tweaking my build.So, given the powers above and the way I like to play the character, what Set Enhancements would you recommend I look into and why?I have perf shifter in Stamina. I know I should have Gaussian in Tactics, I suppose I should have another in Targeting drone?I plan on getting 5 of the Luck of the Gambler -recharge enhancements, I have the slots for them. More -recharge would be great - would love perma-hasten but don't want to sacrifice damage for it.I have a stealth enh in Hover so between that and Field Operative I can scout a little to set up shots without aggroing a whole room and getting wiped out.Right now all my attacks have 2 accuracy 3 damage and 1 endurance reduction IO. What damage sets should I be looking for?Finally, thank you ahead of time for any suggestions you may have.Love this game! -

Is it worthwhile to slot the Performance Shifter Proc Enhancement in Accelerated Metabolism?

1. Allow players to filter the displayed team buffs to only display the buffs the player can cast
- This will let buffers to more easily identify when the buffs they can give have worn off and reapply them
- Note, I said buffs the player CAN cast as opposed to the player cast because if someone else on the team has the same buffs then they may not want to reapply them - specially if they don't stack
2. Allow players to filter floating combat text numbers to only show the player's numbers
- With all the spam that goes on in an 8 man team sometimes I can't see if I my attack hit or if it did, how much damage I am doing with all the other numbers being spammed.

I am a big fan of single target holds. I like six-slotting them and use them often when solo to lock down Bosses (on the second application). So I will be taking Gravity Distortion. But I would prefer a series of fast attacks and think melee would be the thing to do with this character. Thank you all for the information you have supplied. I think I am going to be ok with the build as I have it planned (well I just planned out power choices to 50, still have to slot it all up and I generally respec to reslot since when I am feeling out the character I stick to IO's until I think it worth getting the set enhancements).

Frankly, it depends on how you play. I almost exclusively soloed at level until early 40s (permadom) then +1 or +2. team size one doing red side content. That meant I was generally fighting groups of three enemies at range. If you group a lot, you can certainly play the dominator version of a blapper. I personally think your better off doing that as a brute. Melee hits harder and Dominators just don't have the defense.
I have a 40+ Grav/Martial Dom - took all the ranged powers. Fun to play but I did notice that the attacks compete with the Grav attacks. I 6 slotted both Lift and Propel and use them with the gravity distortion for that sweet buffed damage. I am looking at both solo and group play (I like the mob manipulation you get with Wormhole and think Fold Space would go well with it). I mostly group but I like to be able to competently farm high levels if possible.
Thing is, they give every Dom secondary several melee powers, Savage especially seems to be geared towards melee. When you say 'blapper' it makes me think of someone working real hard to not be gimp. I don't want that with my Dom.
So, as far as damage output only , are we saying Lift+Propel is a must?

I was referring to how you have to pick between the root and lift and how the root is not a better option.

So I've been mucking around with Grav Dom's lately. I just rolled a Grav/Savage Melee Dom and I am curious about something, do I have to bother with Propel at all? Seems to me I have plenty of attacks in the secondary. Along the same lines, do I bother slotting Lift? I mean I had to take it (single target root is worthless imo) but does it really fit into an attack chain with Savage Melee?

I just tested it - the unenhanced speed is the same as before. They increased the caps, but not the base speed. So if you never put a flight speed enhance in the power, your movement will be the same as on live. 🙂

I don't know since I don't move much when I fight. But navigating mission maps especially caves is already difficult - a flight speed buff is going to have me spending a lot of time running into walls...

I know this is going to come out of left field but the increase in flight speed is actually going to be a problem for players that use travel powers while fighting. Arcane Flight is always on with my Plant/Storm Controller (the build is tight on powers and some key slotting is being used with Arcane Flight. Once this patch goes in, Is there perhaps a chance we could throttle our flight speed at the Gull, maybe ask him to use legacy travel power speeds? I would be willing to sacrifice these nice travel power speed buffs to salvage my build...

I have been leveling an Ice/Time blaster and really enjoying playing her. I'd like to hear if anyone has any suggestions for a Patron/Epic pool for her. Thematically I am thinking Ice, but I am wondering if there isn't something out there that will push her to the next level. Right now I am firing off fast single target attacks and have a very good set of controls. AoE is solid with Ice Storm, End of Time and Blizzard. I guess what I am saying is, offensively I am not sure I have any holes. Any suggestions are welcome - thanks ahead of time.

I have an idea for a mod to the game. I think it would be awesome if someone could modify the code so whenever an NPC says something in-game you HEAR it. Even if it was an artificial voice I think it would bring the game to life. It would make the npc's around you more noticeable. I think this would be huge for immersion in this game.
Thoughts?
