    I would recommend Invulnerability, Rad Armor, Bio Armor and Shield Armor as the top choices with Stone Armor, Electric Armor, Dark Armor and Super Reflexes following close behind.

     

    Out of the top choices Invulnerability is my favorite for high end content.

    It reaches hardcap resistances to all including psi, and sofcapped defense to almost everything with only 1 or 2 baddies in range.

     

    Rad is a close second for me, with Bio and Shield close behind.

     

    These are only based on my experience, but others might dissagree and based on their own eperiences.

     

    I say make one of everything 🙂 

    Try them out, tanks are incredible fun to play.

    when I go select archetype, I go melee, then theses the choice of brute or tank.

     

    o notice if select tank, I can go tank or brute.....  what's the difference in a brute tank vs a tank tank?

     

    and is pure tank better?

     

    I read somewhere. that on homecoming, tanks are radically buffed and at some point out dps brutes

    Dual Blades/Bio Stalker:  Built to run Build up>assassins strike>ablaiting strike>sweeping strike>power slice on repeat.  Build up will only be available some of the time, but fairly often due to the assassins mark ATO.  When build up is available this rotation will trigger the sweep combo, which is a nice pbaoe.

    even willpower, or bio defence, I fond myself having. to negate defense buffs because I need to less endurance in almost every slot.

     

    tough, weave, combat jumping, maneuvers, and all the other generic defense powers are huge endurance hogs.

     

    my highest toon, a psychic melee/shield stalker can barely solo a +1 because 1 mob takes most of my endurance.

     

    I have ice melee, savage, melee, broadsword with wp, sr, bio electric and I'm always out of endurance.

     

    I'm forced  to group all the time

    Here's a (expensive) savage/dark brute build to tide you over until you find something else you like better. Softcap S/L defense, good resists, enough recharge and procs in all the right places, endurance efficient.  Built for musculature alpha / Ageless Radial destiny (or barrier if you prefer). This will do great in most content including exemplar if you buy your enhancements attuned from the AH (PVP IO's and purple IO's should not be attuned though so buy them normal, but you can +5 boost some of them if you want). You could switch the Blisterings in Vicious to Hecatombs if you just want more recharge, as melee defense will still be softcapped though you'll lose S/L softcap, and this would also improve the accuracy of a couple powers. If accuracy is a concern (it probably shouldn't be, this is good enough), you can switch Assault for Tactics and put a Cytoskeleton hamidon enhancement in it, or you could switch a slot somewhere for a Kismet +Acc unique.

    see what i dont understand, is that every build adds a ton of endurance draining clockies-- specifically

     

    tough, weave, maneuvers-- these, coupled with X armor clickies are very endurance intensive.

     

    also-- thhese abbriviatoins for ehanhcements are very complex and all but written in cuniform without a translater.

     

    I have no clue what enh to look for with those abbreviations at all

      im pretty new to the game, but you have some powers listed at 35/38 that i cannot find on my toon when i level.

     

    where is personal force field and tem invulnerability from?

     

     

     

  7. Ive read that DM is terrbile for AE, and I really like the ninjutsu def set feel.

     

    1. is AE super important-- especially for solo play? 

       a.  yes-- I want an OP build that can handle all content that doenst have to rely on grouping all the time.

     

    2.  i wouldnt mind psionic, but, again im reading that too many mobs are ultra resistant to it.

    3.  Other sets I like the look of are 

    --- Street Justice, Savage, and martial arts, Kinetic-- of which...... bad ae im reading, ad in re to savage, im reading its best on brute and not good on savage

    Too bad brute cant take ninjutsu =(

    ---I dont like SS, Rad. Electric either, and while fire is a good concept-- Im not a fan of the  Fire Sword thing.

     

     

    4.  Id consider shield  IF I could hide the shield lol like you can with Bio armor graphics.

     

    any help is much appreciated, as ive been logging in make all kinda toons, then reading that build with good AE are too essential.
