Red marked the cliches, some of them nonsensical (you may find more); had to quit there lest I waste more time on this.

    Please see me after class.

Well said. I tried to give more restrictive prompts, including the character limit and also asking ChatGPT to exclude generic genre tropes and focus on the character itself. But it still churned out derivative garbage. I think a better use for it would be to feed it some basic power choices and let it write a freeform story, for when you want to play some specific AT/powerset in the game and don't have a great character idea. In that case, even if ChatGPT gives you poorly-written swill, there may be some concept suggested by it that gives you ideas to prompt something interesting.

Yes, accuracy is huge for pets.  Especially since your t1 pets suffer a -2 level shift and your tier 2 a -1 level shift.  I'd recommend 2 accuracy in your tier 1 and 2 and 1 accuracy in your tier 3.

Awesome, thanks. Would you stop there, at 4-5 slots on minion powers? Or are there other good basic enhancements for minions?

  3. I'm leveling up a Mastermind without any high-level character resources. Just past 20, I'm looking to get some basic IOs or SOs in my powers. Using simple, single-bonus enhancements, what is the best way to slot Minion powers?

I'm assuming 3 Damage as a given, but after that I don't know what's best. Does Accuracy matter as much for Minions? While most character attacks start missing pretty often at this level, my Minions never seem to miss. Health? Secondary power effects? Leave them with fewer than six slots?

Your build suffers the same issue many beginner builds do - lack of focus.

Are there any especially good resources for creating effective builds in this game? Perhaps a general guide, or a resource with enough specific examples that one could learn from them?

  5. Yeah, I'm familiar with that process. But for some reason it won't save changes to the name or icon. I can change the banner and grid images, but it keeps reverting to a grey box with no name.

EDIT: Google tells me this is a known bug with Steam that occurs intermittently, so perhaps not related to COH at all.

  6. I don't like having game shortcuts on my desktop or Start menu, so I thought I'd add the Launcher to Steam as a non-Steam game and launch it from there. It seems to work, but I can't get the item in my Steam launcher to retain a name or icon, so it's a weird blank line on my game list. Has anyone encountered this and found a fix for it?
