  1. Well, I am annoyed with myself. I just now am learning there are alternate animations. So scrap what I said. The reason I was doing a SS/SR Brute was that I wanted to make a boxer and thought this would work well mostly based on KO Blow and the punches. I started him with the idea that a brute was survivable and had high damage output and I was more concerned with doing more damage. Honestly a scrapper would have also worked, but I liked the idea of fury. I made this guy a while ago and just recently decided to finish bringing him to 50, so now it is time to slot him out. With that in mind, rerolling him and quick leveling is not out of the question, its just kind of sad, but it might be the right answer. Thanks for the advice. I may make a tank SJ/SR Tank boxer and see if I like it better.

    Hello community. Over the winter break I decided to work on a few builds that I have had laying around. I don't see much on this particular combo for brutes, so let me know how you would go about it and what target numbers you look for. I am slotting out a boxer themed brute with SS/ SR. I will be taking fighting, speed, leaping and energy mastery for my pools. I need some decent recharge to bring up heavy hitters like Knock Out Blow and will likely need to deal with endurance. I am not sure what my target defense %'s should be or what powers should really get procs or not. With that in mind, what powers make the best spot for mules. Also, target values for regeneration and accuracy if you have them. I always liked Foot stomp on my SS toons in the past, but if it is skippable, I would prefer as this is supposed to be a heavy weight boxer (no kicking, though kick from fighting pool give a damage bonus to cross punch). Same sort of restriction on Hurl. If I can avoid taking Elude, I think that would be ideal, but I'm not completely opposed to it. I am working on a build for now, but I recognize that I have a hard time focusing when making these builds and it usually comes out as a complete random mess. I will post what I have so anyone can point out the glaring inconsistencies and redundancies and general foolishness. Thanks for helping! Ten Count - Brute (Super Strength - Super Reflexes).mbd
  3. This is probably a dumb idea, and it would take a massive reworking, but I wonder if it would be a better idea to make the T9 powers be part of the Epic pools. This would allow you to choose what type of T9 effect you want based on what your weaknesses are. Have a great way to regain endurance? Then you don't mind an endurance crash. Have soft capped defense? Pick a resistance heavy emergency power. Maybe you need a small boost power with no crash or a long recharge power with a heavy crash that makes you truly unkillable. This idea is a half-baked pipe dream at best, but it could hypothetically help create some balance and creativity. It might also create theme issues. Oh well
  4. Well, ,I spent some time getting a few levels and got this guy up mid-way through the 20s. I have been using Defensive Sweep on auto just to grab as much defense as I can at the moment and the glaring issue is the animation time, so I'm not even sure how often I will be using it in my primary chain. My biggest issues so far in order are survivability followed by endurance, and finally accuracy. This all makes sense since I have not bothered to slot anything yet. I have noticed that I seem to have little to no trouble establishing agro even when I have another tank or brute on the team. With this in mind, I'm inclined to try the build out as I level with replacing taunt with build momentum and slotting Build Momentum and Combat Teleport the way you had suggested. This will give me a quick momentum, boost in accuracy and a chance for perception boost as I jump into agro. Overall, this build is by far not my most effective fastest or most survivable, but it is fun to play, and that is what counts. Thanks again for your insight!
  5. P.S. Perfect Zinger was always a favorite slotting for me back on live. I love the idea of defeating an opponent with a good insult.
  6. Thanks for the response. Overall, I love the numbers you are throwing out there. I notice that you are not taking advantage of LotG in Tough Hide. Any reason? I usually dont bother with 2 slotting stamina if I am really rough on slots, so I tried moving that over for a little boost in recharge. The slotting on Teleport seems unneeded. Because of Combat Teleport, Im not really worried about being slowed. That frees up a slot to throw into Temp Invulnerability to 6 slot Unbreakable Guard for a little more Fire/Cold resist over the winter teleport set. I am trying to decide if it would be better to have Build Momentum or Follow Through. FT is one of the big attacks of the set, but will eat up a ton of slots. I could pull all of the slots from Defensive Sweep to make it viable. I added the rest of the appropriate incarnates as well. This seems like a pretty decent build for my playstyle.   7. Hello Community! I like tanking. Especially large group tanking, so I wanted to make a herding Titan Weapons tank that can handle agro and keep going. I have not built this out completely yet and I am still learning what is important in the sets, so please critique and give guidance. here is my first attempt (probably out of order and definitely not optimized). This is by far a starting point, s please let me know where I should be concentrating and what I am missing and I will try a round two. Some things to look for: Fold space - I want this for herding but I have no idea how much slotting it really needs. AOE's - My experience is that the more AOE's the easier to control agro. Build Momentum - Is this needed? I think it might be, but im not sure. I could see dropping this for Crushing Blow (though that would need slots) or even an Epic pool power (a -fly or hold could be useful). Thanks in advance.   8. I was hoping that I could get a few opinions on this build. The idea is to do tons of AOE damage using combat teleport and PBAOE's including Hot Feet, Inferno, Bonfire, Fireball, Fire Sword Circle, Rain of Fire, and Fire Breath. I plan to keep health and endurance up using Cauterizing Wounds and Consume. At the end of a group the plan is to finish up with Blaze and Blazing Bolt. I plan to usually be with a group, so external heals and other buffs are expected, and it is likely I will have some form of a tank to help out with agro, but I want to be mostly concerning myself with eliminating mobs as fast as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for boosting damage/recharge or think that there is anything redundant in the build? Thanks in advance! Puf 2.0 - Blaster (Fire Blast - Fire Manipulation).mbd
