I've been funding my characters through the market and I essentially sell ALL recipe and salvage drops for 5 inf. I sell enhancement drops to the vendor.
I buy recipes at either level 20 or 40 that I know convert to a rare with one conversion. I buy as many of these as I can get at a reasonable price (I'll set a bid and wait for a few days). When I am ready to craft I buy the stacks of salvage needed to craft them at the lowest price that I can get the salvage immediately. I then convert that rare until I get something that will sell for at least 1 mil and list everything I sell for a flat 1 million. Have not been doing it long but have funded 4 characters with full purples. It's tedious as heck so I typically only do it when I hit 50 and need to outfit the toon.
