  1. Hello, all. I write with a heavy heart that @Shenanigunner is no longer with us. He passed away in early April; I'm certain it'd be to his morbid irritation that he didn't quite stick the April Fool's Day landing. Nearly twenty years ago, two chairs were pulled up to the family computer, and Shenanigunner patiently walked me through making a Scrapper character. At the time, I didn't find the combat mechanics all that engaging - but he was happy to spend far too much time trading emotes with me. We played hundreds of hours playing this game together, but those were the first four. (Never did get the partner magic trick timing quite right. I miss you, Dad.) What can possibly do him justice? There's no overselling how much this game and the community surrounding it meant to him. His guides collectively represent decades of dedicated research and countless hours spent writing. His technical reference is a tour de force, but he didn't stop there. He published a tremendous number of tools and tidbits and tips and tricks. Three months on, and I still don't know what to say. If you used his guides, or helped him write them, or played with him on Excelsior (or, Hell, even argued with the old goat) please, feel free to comment with memories. For my part, I will ensure his work is preserved and kept available. Shenanigunner left behind a significant amount of drafted work; over the coming months, I will endeavour to finish and publish the final edition of Shenanigunner's Technical Reference Guide. This is Skulldugger, signing off. - 'Gunner Lives!
