I like updates that swap out AE buildings for something else. The only place I think we need AE is inside Pocket D. We should set out to reclaim the plots of land taken up by them in the city, reverting them to what they used to be, or something new. But maybe keep a couple of them, for those who don't want to be blinded by player particles or something. lol

I notice I can't move base items anymore. Anyone else?
Edit: I even deleted the supergroup and remade it. Still couldn't move anything in the base.

I enjoy seeing such activity when I pop in.
(edit: I tried to embed it but it was huge)

I like the outdoor base lighting option. I just wish it was room-by-room instead of base-wide. It makes the clubhouse and laboratory areas of my base feel like they have invisible ceilings even though they're solid.

There's a problem I've always ran into with RPGs (even though I love them anyway) where once I've played through the entire game's content several times, I already know what's going to happen and I just end up mind-numbingly grinding through it out of boredom. Once I've witnessed the story, it all becomes a skip-dialog grind-fest... In the case of AEs, they don't really solve that issue, but they do offer a more efficient grind. You wont find yourself wasting a ton of time flying all over paragon city looking for a mission entrance with mostly minions and a few lieutenants inside that you quickly burn through.

No one is talking about turning off XP. More of turning up the difficulty in gaining it.
I vote no. Just because you can breeze through the game fast doesn't mean everyone else has to suffer. It's taken me 4 weeks to get to level 44 and the exp is coming in very slow for me right now. Don't make it worse on me or I'll get burned out. And that's the last thing you should want is people dropping off. I'm leveling at the same pace I did back in the day doing missions. There's no reason I should have to suffer just because your play style is faster than mine.

IMO, the 'problem' is just bullies, busy-bodies, and wanna-be GMs.
IME with CoH, that has never changed, even after sunset, just look at the Titan forums and now back here at the number of people that think we are all just 'young greedy gamers that want it all now', with servers pooping up and the servers runner proudly saying they do things the 'right way', not like i25.
I agree. Most of us who played during the original run are older now and have less time to grind. Teenagers have plenty of time after school. But once you got a family, especially a wife, that time slips away. If I can gain a half a level a night in AE within 2 hours, I'm satisfied. It's better than running all over founders falls doing radio missions over and over.

Sounds to me as though the main argument still remains as "some people found a better way to get exp than me so I want it banned because i'm a killjoy"... We all know how slow and sluggish exp is once you reach late 30s. 1 of these all-boss AE farm maps would probably net me a half a level at 40 if I had a double exp boost and patrol exp to burn. I don't see a problem. All I see is salt.

Wish we had the source code for the client. We'd have a working native port on every system eventually.

Since the game has been back I tried to stick to just 1 character, but as usual once I start getting to around level 40 the grind gets excessively boring, and I start making alts... I even created a look-alike of Homer Simpson called Homer Sampson and made him a beast master... lol
Edit: Now that I think of it, I should have created groundskeeper willy as a beast master. He wrestles wolves after all, and I think the costume selection has kilts.

Except it is 100% without a doubt effecting everyone. It's already been confirmed that the AE missions use up FAAARR more resources then normal missions to the point that 1 AE mission might use the same resources as 20-25 normal missions.
That is the reason the homecoming devs are against it, it LITERALLY kills the servers.
Simple fix for the devs; Make the rewards the same as normal missions. I never noticed I got more for doing AEs, but that's probably just me not noticing it. :/

AE missions shouldn't effect anyone. All it really is is more missions, just consolidated to one building. I can't stand buzzkills. They see someone doing something a different way and it triggers them even though it shouldn't. I used to be like that once. Back when pay to win was first becoming a concept in games I was even against skins because I didn't use them. These days I take more of a liberty approach. As long as I'm not in a PvP match with someone who paid for a powerful advantage I don't have, it doesn't effect me.
Offtopic: Which by the way happened to me once in Star Trek Online. A buddy of mine bought this powerful ship on the P2W store and totally handed me my phaser banks. And all I had was the ships you EARN in the game through leveling up. My Romulan's Ego was never the same.

Theres a P2W in Atlas park on the left side of the Atlas statue from where Mrs Liberty stands.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look for it in Atlas. On the NCSoft servers I remember buying some mad scientist bundle. Hopefully I can get some of what was in that.
Found it.

Is this P2W Vendor already in the game somewhere? Or is that upcoming too? Also will it be restricted to inf and not $?
-
You already met this months goal? WOW! Well I should expect that. A lot of folks really miss this game.

That's why I said, "But maybe keep a couple of them, for those who don't want to be blinded by player particles or something". The "something" part at the end of that sentence should cover a broad range of other annoyances.
