Wow. I have a daughter who is 19. I can't even imagine . . . My condolences to family and friends.

I remember him from the live forums and had teamed with him once or twice here. So sorry to hear this.

Hmmm
in The Market
4 hours ago, Krimson said:15m instead of 10m doesn't exactly scuttle my plans. The only plans it changes is that I won't be handing out Winter Enhancements willy nilly like last year. I'll keep them for me. 😄
Sharing my thoughts as I try to plan for this year.
It is possible they will reduce the actual price to what the other super packs are going for. Doubtful, but still a possibility. Otherwise:
- I will have to stock up and keep everything I buy for future use.
- I will buy up a lot and sell it off. It will probably be a couple years before I am able to make a profit. Especially if everyone knows this may be the last year, they'll be stocking up, too. But at some point they'll run out, or new players will join that don't have a stockpile.
- I will do something in between - stock up for myself and buy up a supply to sell when the buying price is at a comfortable level.
Decisions, decisions.

If I'm going to work up a character, as opposed to PLing, I prefer to have them earn their keep. But if they do a lot of teaming I'll usually send them enough to buy the TPs, which are helpful.

What is today?

. . . there are plenty for sale with hardly any demand . . .
I thought salvage had been seeded in the auction house by the devs?

I spend them almost exclusively on enhancement boosters. I get enough unslotters from superpacks, converters from the market and catalysts from farming.
-
It all fluctuates. For awhile I was buying the Achilles' Heel special recipe for half a mil, crafting (takes common and uncommon), and selling the crafted piece for 5 million plus. The recipe has gone up, but still might be worth a look.

haha, same, Kinda kicking myself for not going all-in.
Still, now that this is an obvious choice, I wonder how much that's going to affect things. Like, it's gonna take a lot longer to sell the packs if there's tens of thousands of competing postings. Maybe some people will be patient and post them a few months after the event ends instead of immediately?Assuming the sale happens again next year, there will probably be a bigger glut on the market afterwards as I think more people will take advantage. For me, I'll just be resupplying my personal stock. Now if we can get a special rate on the ATOs . . . 🙂

I'm super jealous and wish I would have done that.
I have to admit I was a little nervous that this would blow up in my face. I even thought I might have to wait a couple months before I could start selling. It will be interesting to see what happens next year.

I bought 1900 during the sale. I plan to open 400 of them and have been selling the rest back at $25 mil. Over halfway done with that.

I was on a couple servers, but Triumph was my home server from the beginning. I remember many of you from the server and the forums.
Here's something from our last days on the server, the first (and I think only) successful Really Hard Way Magisterium Trial, successfully completed just a couple days before shutdown. Because even though the game's going away, a badge is still a badge.
That was the best! I kept trying to find my character in the video, but he was a little guy and melee so lost in the thick of it all. But I did see a warning or two in red for him. Thanks for the video!

Bonus tip. - since you can start TFS and trials so you can also use the LFG queue as a free teleporter.
Yep, this is a great feature. But be careful you don't do this when you are already in a TF or flashback. You'll drop out of it. I've done this a couple times :(. Another useful tip - if you started a TF and you get a last minute request to join, instead of everyone dropping, the leader just needs to use the LFG and everyone will TP to the TF contact, team will be intact, and you will be starting over.

If you want something, you either find/make it yourself, or you buy it (or you have a generous benefactor). If you don't like the price, don't buy it. If I take the time and trouble to make something, or I'm lucky to find something, why shouldn't I ask what I want for it? Why should others benefit by forcing me to sell at their price?

Were you capped?

Well, if you can't use /ah in a SG base, is there a way to access the crafting options in a normal zone without going to the University?
I think you can buy the crafting table power from the P2W vendor.
Edit: It's called Portable Workbench and you can buy it for 10 mill. inf. at P2W or earn it the old fashioned way by getting the Field Crafter Accolade.
The table is on a timer, but recharges quickly enough. And I find if I keep the recipe/crafting window open, even when the table does go away I can still craft.

Why not one of each? See how it goes. With accelerated leveling you'll soon have a good feel for which is better. Everyone has a different play style so what works for one may not work for you. Have fun!

Maybe a Market section? And maybe a teaming section to organize activities in each server, like planned costume contests, incarnate trials, etc.
-
Those costumes are amazing! I'm so embarrassed . . . :)

My first 50 and main character was a Mind/FF troller. At first I lamented the fact that there were no pets for this character. But as I got other petted trollers to 50 and played the endgame content - incarnate stuff, etc, I decided that pets really were pointless. Either they are somewhat durable but did little damage, or they were so squishy that they were not long for the world. So I guess it really depends on your play style.

Loves me some Triumph.

Glad to see Pinnacle represent. Was looking for the pinnacle badge channel in game . . .

It also has the P2W vendor that you can access during TFs. And it was how rogues and vigilantes could go from red side to blue and back, before we could put beacons in sg bases, or have fancy teleportation.
