  1. It might seem unlikely to you, but it's happening. If you don't believe me you're welcome to run a few missions with me in game and you'll see for yourself firsthand. I'm aware of the inherent works. I am aware that scrappers do the best single target melee damage in game (before crits are taken into consideration), however with what I've seen, I can crit in every single encounter on a stalker. You can't do that on a scrapper every single time. In fact on a stalker I can get at least two crits per encounter and on a good fight sometimes three. Three versus none hardly seems fair. Not to even consider the fact that a stalker has a chance to proc fear on every AS it uses.
  2. Ok so I probably want it slotted into say Total Focus instead since the recharge time is alot longer then right?
  3. I have Critical Strikes slotted into barrage (since it's got such a quick recharge) and Scrapper's Strike slotted into energy punch. The crits just aren't happening.
  4. I'm wondering if there is any possibility of changing the scrapper inherent. It just seems like it rarely procs at all ever. I've heard people talking about "why bother with the scrapper" because a stalker can crit way more than a scrapper can, which is true. I've run entire missions without even critting one time. To me that says there's a problem. This is with having both of the scrapper origin enhancements slotted. Right now those only buff the inherent on the power that triggers it. So for example as an energy melee scrapper, if I use barrage with the Critical Strikes Scrapper Enhancement, that barrage causes all of the attacks to have a +50 percent chance to crit for all attack powers up to 3 times within the next minute. As a proposal I think that should be a universal buff to all attacks to give the chance for the bonus. Another thing I would try is removing the limit of the 3 times per minute. This might sound like alot in advance, but the RNG is horrible for the chance to crit. These changes are something that could be tested out obviously and adjusted as need be. I think this would be a good fix personally. The inherent as is, doesn't do much at all. Without the set even slotted seeing a crit feels like a miracle. Even with these sets, I am surprised to even see a crit as it stands right now. The inherent for scrappers just seems to be rather pointless in comparison to what the other AT's get.
  5. Watching that I got to say I'm not thrilled with the no travel suppression being turned off. When it was off it felt more like a comic book to me to be honest. It also found it easier running guys down. They would get one or two ranged shots off on me and then I'd close and that would be the end of it. Just like in a comic book too. I wish these guys would totally bring it back.
  6. LOL this my fourth. Started out a Sentinel, then went to Stalker, and finally a tanker. And now of course I am switching to this build. Crazy! I hope this is the last version of this character that I play LOL.
  7. Thanks I will take a look at it then. Can't believe I am rerolling yet again. This is like the fourth time LOL.
  8. Hmmmm, well I think I'll give it a try to be honest. Thank you for all the info. By the way what epic hold specifically were you talking about to take?
  9. I did most of my PvPing on live in Recluse's Victory but I lived out of all the different PvP zones to be honest haha. So I was talking to a guy in game and he said Street Justice has more burst than EM and that the only thing EM really brings to the table is the fact it can stun and detoggle offensive toggles. Is this really true? Why would I want EM over Street Justice?
  10. And you can go on ignore for being so damn rude. You don't listen very well either.
  11. I asked in the help channel and someone explained the statistical values of why a stalker is generally better over a brute. However, it sounds like zone PvP is pretty much dead for melee from what I was told.
  12. We'll have to agree to disagree on the travel suppression thing because I remember it very differently and I recently witnessed it in game first hand and it was in the recent patch notes about it as well. This was when they made the movement power changes. Also I never once in my life when I PvPed ever had a problem chasing someone down in melee with travel suppression. Why in God's name would I want to play a scrapper? Their inherent is awful. I do zone PvP because real PvP happens in the open world in games. Has been since the beginning back in NWN on AOL and other games that followed. I can't stand PvP in a box to be honest. It grates on me. I tried it a few times but just didn't care for it. It just felt like there was something missing from it and that it was just wrong. That was my takeaway from it. I stick to zone PvP. In zone PvP melee seemed worthless to me and if what you're saying is true then melee sounds like it's still in a bad place.
  13. I knew what travel suppression was the name just escaped me at the time I made the post. Travel Suppression I know was turned off in PvP on live. I remember it. I've done alot of PvPing. I can't even begin to imagine people PvP'ing with melee if travel suppression is off. How in the hell would you even lock down a ranged character in PvP if the ranged character can just keep moving. It sounds like PvP is still a trainwreck. The devs on live should have never made those sweeping changes that they did I think it was in I13 where they destroyed PvP. Before that I absolutely loved PvP. My stalker was rather infamous among people and God did I ever enjoy every single minute of it hahaha. It's a shame that PvP is in such a horrible spot still. I had heard the devs were working on it and I knew travel suppression was brought back recently in a patch and I wondered if it affected PvP and from what I'm hearing apparently not, which is really sad.
  14. That's nice and all, but it still doesn't answer my question about Melee in PvP. Just because people are doing that doesn't mean it's worthwhile. Last time I PvP'ed it was nothing but ranged AT's and some stalkers. No melee at all pretty much. I'd like to know how well it does now with the recent changes against ranged characters.
  15. I know for a while it was pretty much not worthwhile to PvP as melee. They were basically taunt bots. With movement now being stalled after attacking how is melee these days? I wondered if it was more worthwhile nowadays. I'm thinking about making a EM/Regen brute, hence why I ask.
  16. Just out of curiosity does Energy Transfer still have that God awful herky jerky animation that they took from Back Alley Brawler? I much prefer the older animation.
  17. Thank you very much for the replies, I really appreciate it. I was wondering what I was doing and felt a bit unsure. Thank you again guys!
  18. I know it's a rework. I played it on live on a stalker but have made a brute now. I just picked up Total Focus last night and I see something about storing a charge of energy. I looked at the patch notes but it didn't exactly explain what this does when it is expended. I'm getting the notifications in combat when this does happen but I'm unsure of what exactly it's doing. Is there someone out there who is knowledgeable on the subject and can explain it to me so I understand it? Thank you.
  19. Got it and thank you! 🙂
  20. I've been working on a build and for whatever the reason I am only just now finding out that you can build enhancements to +5 at 50. That being said is there an easy way to compute crafted enhancements with ED? For example do I need 3 level 55 damage SO's or would two be equally as good? Trying to figure all this out but the math feels a bit overwhelming at points so I figured I'd appeal to the more experienced crowd in this regard. Thanks in advance!
  21. I know this story never got finished on live and near as I can recall it had something to do with the 5th Column and a group called Battalion whom the Rikti had fought at one point. Was anything ever said or did knowledge ever come out from Paragon Studios as to what the rest of the story was? I was always wondering and really loved the overall story. I'd love to hear if anything else was ever uncovered. If not is there any chance we could get a conclusion to this story on Homecoming?
  22. It's exactly as the title says. The error when I try to load the client on this particular PC says that the game won't run with this configuration and that I should download current drivers for open GL support. The video card is an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family onboard video card. I cannot upgrade the video on this machine because of the powersupply not having a proper cable to power the video card that I have. If anyone can help or give me a workaround I'd really appreciate it. Even if I can run on minimum settings I am fine with that as long as I can get in. I realize that this is a longshot even asking, but I figure it never hurts to ask.
  23. Wow Static that sounds absolutely awesome. I pretty much went that way too. My primary is StJ which I cannot complain about at all. The damage is pretty sick. I love every single minute of it. As far as Bio Armor, the ONLY reason I won't use it is because of the effects that still show up even when they are supposed to be off. Soooooooo irritating.
  24. What would be good to slot for WP?
  25. Whew what a relief haha. I was starting to think I made a mistake. Any suggestions what I should focus on with IO's? I have my resist at the cap and was planning to get whatever Defense that I could next.
