Hmm so maybe people are getting hung up on the second suggestion because it’s an overreach to take anything away from players. Would the dissenters at least agree the first part would be a reasonable change?

Having an emergency button to cap your defences as a squishy AT is definitely useful, which is part of Afterburner's function.
While true, I think the vast majority of players use it just to make flight a faster travel power and would very rarely turn it on while in combat, and would be willing to part ways with the defense component, but again that’s just my perception.

Could the devs make it so Afterburner automatically toggles off when the player attempts an action that is otherwise usable while Afterburner is active?
For instance: using Freezing Rain while Afterburner is active will turn the toggle off while also successfully casting the Freezing Rain.
It currently feels clunky and could use some love considering it requires the player to spec into 3 powers to even access.
Alternatively, Afterburner could just be turned into an auto power that grants flight control and flight speed. I don’t think removing the defense component matters, considering the limited use of having increased defenses while only affecting self.

For the love of Pete, please give Defenders/Corruptors an Ice APP. They already have Cold Dom and Ice Blast, an Ice APP is now thematic!

We have different ideas for how useful out of combat defenses are, which is fine! But I still think attempting to cast spells/attempting to enter combat should turn the toggle off, rather than saying “action unusable.” My primary suggestion wouldn’t change the defense, just make it so you don’t have to have 3 seconds of delay to realize why you can’t cast any spells.
