I get that a lot too. What I do is bid $1, then in “bidding on” tab you can click on the history of what it has been selling for.

Went to base to convert my Hero to Reward merits. Cashed in 5 or 6 to find out I only got 10 reward merits each instead of the usual 50. Filed a support ticket the same day and was told they couldn’t help and to post on this forum.
