I just leveled a Dark/TA blaster and was pleasantly surprised by how survivable it is. Dark has a heal and TA has a stupid amount of regen in its sustain power. Unless an entire spawn attacks me at once, there's not much I can't heal back.

I'm looking at /TA and not understanding why it hasn't gotten more attention.

I'm getting ready to roll a Fire/TA and looking for capped ranged defense and over 50% S/L resist. to go along with almost a perma AoE hold, perma -spd, -recharge, +regen, +rec.

    What isn't ti like?

  2. If you're the only toon on the map I can see going Agility. But if you're like me and the reason you farm is to PL 2 alts..you'll never be able to maintain damage cap numbers even with Musculature + inspirations.

Agility Alpha doesn't benefit Blazing Aura, Quills, or Burn. Since you can't stack Burn any recharge below perma (about 7.5 seconds) is wasted.

  3. So if it doesn't affect summons...Dark, Plant, and Fire...probably the 3 strongest sets...are less impacted...

If true, that makes two powers out of Plant that it doesn't affect. That's not that horrid considering the raw amount of damage Plant already does.

The only powers it affects from Plant are Entangle, Strangler, and Roots.

Correct. Out of plant powers, only five have damage portions, and two are pet/summons. So it may not be the best pairing, but overall MA works really well with plant IME.

Also fair to point out that Roots has very good damage for aoe immob, so it affecting that is a good thing.

Purpose for my post is to find out what primary Martial will help the most. Plant doesn't even need a secondary to be OP.

  4. Superior Invis is overslotted. You don't need that 3.75% recharge with all the recharge you have. Hasten 3 slotted is overkill. That's 7 slots you can put elsewhere and your hasten is still at 106.7.

Hecatombs in boxing? You don't need all that recharge. Once you get PA and hasten perma concentrate on slotting the powers you use to take out the AVs and GMs.

  5. AE farms do drop salvage, if you choose regular rewards rather than tickets. With the current price of recipes and influence/ticket rates for AE missions, ticket farming is vastly inferior to regular rewards anyway so I don’t know why you’d be ticket farming.

Some like the super reliability. Especially if they don't know how much level 50 common IO recipes sell for to vendors. >.>

I know if I run for tickets I can get 3 pieces of rare salvage ever 2 runs (and an extra piece every 7th run). Being only level 32, this translates to roughly 10mil an hour reliably for me, which is not bad for my level.

If I run regular drops it's a bit of a gamble. A gamble that I have won so far (2 purples that earned me 65mil between the two, not to mention a few other nice drops), but a gamble none the less.

So if you're under 50 but the AE mission is level 50 you can get purples?

  6. Is anyone getting tickets during AE missions? I wasn't getting any drops on Torchbearer. I then went to Excelsior and was getting drops. Back on Torchbearer and nothing. Went back to Excelsior and was getting constantly map served. Went to Indomitable with new toon and no tickets. I usually run with solo but the one time I ran with another they didn't get tickets either. Asked others on both servers and they say they aren't getting tickets. Was there an announcement that tickets are nerfed?

  7. Golden Rule people. Respect others wishes. Doesn't take much effort to not piss people off. And if you're one of those people who can't follow procedures maybe you should be the one who runs their own server. These are the same people who would play tanks and draw aggro to the controllers during Hami raids.

That being said...give people who KS a break. They're probably a noob in the game or just too young to understand how things work.

  8. Here's a semi cheap build that works.

  9. I completed an AE mission and got a good bit of tickets. Next day I did the same mission again and got tickets. Then a different mission and got tickets. But now when I try to do ayy AE mission I don't get any tickets. Spoke to another and they said they aren't getting tickets as well? Anyone else having a problem?

    Server:  Torchbearer

EDIT:  Went on Excelsior and ran an AE mission and received tickets.

  10. One thing I've noticed is it doesn't seem to list the bids and the for sale for each IO. Looks like it lists all bids and IO's for all that are the same type. So Scirocco's dervish Lv20 Dam/End shows 11 for sale/ 3 bidding. Lv30/ 40/ and 50 have the same listings. Hard too know what's actually available.

That's due to how the i25 AH system works.

If someone puts up a level 20 Set IO/Recipe, it is listed as each level possible for that IO. Then the buyer can pick-and-choose which level they want instead of being restricted to the level that's actually posted. Thats why each level entry under a specific recipe shares the same exact bids/sellers/history etc.

IE. If I put a level 25 LotG:R for sale, and someone bids on a level 50 LotG:R they will then get my recipe but it will upscale to level 50 instead of being level 25.

Salvage works in a similar fashion. If you toss a Boresight on and someone wants a Luck Charm, they can buy your Boresight and it will convert. Essentially pooling all salvage based on rarity.

Good info to know. But the result is going to be IO's are going to be more expensive at lower levels. Also why not just have Wentworth's list one IO instead of one for every level? What level it is makes no difference.
