I tried a Necromancer/ Time Manipulation when I first started playing City of Heroes, and it seemed rather underwhelming compared to Bots/Thugs. While I understand those two may be stronger, I always liked the necromancer idea.
The question I want to ask anyone who knows anything about Necro/Time is: How hard is it going to be to keep those fumbling undead alive? Now I saw a nice build that has defenses at 46-50% for each slot and 55% S/L resistance, (also have the influence now to make purple io's a thing) so I will be sturdy, but how well will my pets be?
Appreciate any info.

I was going to go Spiritual for the Alpha slot,(Trying Perma Phantom Army), but the rest I need assistance with.
Here is what I was thinking, but any suggestions I would love to listen to:
Alpha - Spiritual
Judgement - Ion
Interface - Degenerative
Lore - Cimerorans (Heard they were top damage)
Destiny - Ageless
Hybrid - Support (For pet damage?)

Are there any Broadsword abilities that are worth skipping? (Asking for a Tanker grabbing Shield/Broad Sword)

Is there a cap to Defense. Looking up Shield/Broad Sword, and Parry gives 15% defense, but if there is a cap that might be useless.

Appreciate the input. I do like the idea of tanking where the mobs are on me, leaving my team to not have to worry as much about their own safety.
Ice seems like a good choice to never worry much about aggro, but how does it defenses/resistances stack up to the others? It sounds like with enough IO's, and tanker can tank, but Ice isn't too far behind lets say stone/invul's tankiness, is it?

I'm looking to level a Tanker, but have a few to consider, and am looking for assistance.
I'm torn between Willpower, shield, Ice, and Invul. Each of the four have their proc and cons, but what I was seeking was actual numbers for defenses/resistances to each.
I was linked a decently geared Io Shield Tanker (Pretty tough looking: 15% defenses to everything on top of 44% positional defenses, along with 90% Lethal/Smashing - 55% the rest)
