General discussion about making emotes gestures handier to use. Some emotes can be evoked right in the Chat line by preceding them with a semicolon (;). So type ';grief' and your toon does the Grief emote. But other emotes cannot be used like this. If I create a macro or keybinding for and emote such as /macro SMP "emote crouch", some work, but others don't. I would like to create a macro to evoke the Idle > Stances poses such as /macro VP2 "emote Villain Stance 2", but that macro doesn't work. Why is that? And why do some one-word emotes such as Thrreaten, not work in the chat line with a semicolon? Typing ;threaten does not run the Threaten emote. But in the 'before time' it did. Only drilling down through the emote menu >Interact > Threaten activates it now. Chat line typing is quicker and can be combined with an actual text chat, so both comment and gesture are linked. Such as
Chat: Fear not! I'm a Hero!$$emote akimbo
Opportunities for role-play there.
Anyway, I'm seeking a better way to evoke Emote gestures. Looking to learn more about how it does work or how it could work.
