I was wondering this because someone tried to talk me out of making a /shield brute, saying that there was not much reason to play a brute compared to a scrapper, because the defense numbers were the same and a scrapper base damage will benefit more from Against All Odds.
Is there anything like this for Brutes where a set(primary or secondary) is objectionably better on brutes than scrappers or tanks?
I absolute hate the way this power works. 9/10 times I hit it accidentally, I am too far, or not faced the right direction. I can't think of any other power that works like this. If it was a PBAoE like dragon kick that's one thing but a no-target melee cone? For some reason my brain and muscle memory can't accommodate.
I'd much rather see that replaced by a small sustain or self-heal or literally anything else.
I know brutes/tankers/scrappers etc the goal is to slot for softcap, recharge, etc, but what is the meta when slotting blasters and ranged dps? Do you shoot for a specific % of defense or go all in on damage and recharge?
I have been gone 2ish years. Back then it was a mix of AE farms and doing conversions for the market.
Is that still the case? I know the AE works different now. If anyone can fill me in it would be much appreciated.
