  1. I was forgetting that they're now all one-stop-shopping. Just makes it more important though for people to be reminded to keep their distance. For those kinds of things where you're going to be there a while try to avoid doing that when it's busy or, as suggested, for stuff like costume tweaking go to an icon shop. Probably true that once you're out of the starting zones the population thins out a lot. Still, I've been hanging around Atlas a lot so I see it quite a bit. Again, not a serious problem as yet, but then we don't want it to become one either. CoH always had the best, most helpful and considerate community in all of gaming and it should remain a model for other games that way.
  2. Just a polite request. When you're interacting with contacts, especially in leveling up, etc. please stop crowding so close. Leave room for others to see and click on them. Take care of your business expeditiously and then move away to leave room for others if you want to remain close by. I don't recall ever dealing with this on the old live servers of not even being able to see Ms. Liberty for example, and just thought I'd ask for a bit more consideration.
  3. When I see the message that a fire has been reported I go to Steel, but no fire shows up on the map anymore, and searching the zone turns up no fire anywhere. Broadcast inquiries whether others see it marked on their map shows nobody else sees it either. We get the start and end messages but the actual event doesn't seem to happen. [This is on Excelsior]
  4. When I first started playing in '04 a friend and I decided to head to Steel Canyon a bit before we were ready (didn't even have travel powers yet IIRC). We managed to get maybe halfway down the middle street toward the central statue/plaza staying in the middle of the street to avoid aggro. We wound up fighting a group of guys on the sidewalk though and started getting our butts kicked. The boss of the group was flying overhead with us in the middle of the street. Soon enough it was just we two versus him in a retreating street battle, with us always at the edge of defeat but unable to rack up enough damage on him to take him down. We would tag-team with trying to rest while the other tried to keep him occupied. I can't even remember if we beat him or not but the fight must have lasted 5 minutes and just felt SO EPIC, and so much like it was ripped from the pages of a comic book. No big influence reward, or special enhancement to slot - just some punks on the street in an area where WE shouldn't really have been. I think that as much as anything could be what REALLY hooked me on the game.
