    I tried to create a themed stalker around staff/dark pools (Scarlet Death - Muerte Escarlata) I am not good with MIDS but I tried to assemble a rounded character with some melee defense, good resists and some debuffs to add another layer of protection. I finished with this one and I want to share it looking for advices to improve it.

  2. Hello.

     

    I did this build for my wife. We aren't english speaking people but we can understand english enough (I think) and she is a total newbie on MMORPGs. I tried to create a ranged simple build with the least buttons to click and simple to learn. The build is a sentinel fire/willpower/fire and the goal on it is shoot hovering the battle while I taunt mobs and fight them with my brute or tank.

     

    I hope people could to contribute to refine the build.

    Hi, Omega Force and thanks for the answer.

    End Drain is not the main objetive in this toon despite her capabilites to do that with great effect. I'll try to check the Musculature Radial to see the numbers.

    Hi, MaximusPrime and thanks for the answer.

    I know Havoc Punch is a good melee damage, but I'd want to play a full ranged toon then I rejected to take any melee power. This is a thematic toon inspired in Electro or Aftershock AV from Marvel built around the electricity theme, this is the reason to play an E3.

    I didn't have in my mind to play like a sapper, my goal was to play like a full ranged mini-blaster with good survivality, but I can to drain all endurance from mobs at +4x8 in AE (not full checked yet).

    I am trying to play a thematic Elec/elec/elec Sentinel. My goals are:

     

    * Range combat. (No melee combat powers).

    * A bit of defense (first layer of protection).

    * High resists (second layer of protection).

    * Enough recharge to get Energize perma or near it.

    * Enough offense to kill mobs.

    * Some minor crowd control.

     

    I dropped Voltaic Sentinel from the first build and took Paralyzing Jolt because VS, despite to be a free "fire and forget" DoT, could be dangerous if it attacks the wrong mob, pulling too much enemies.  Paralyzing Jolt adds another bit of CC to this build. like Chain Fences and Tesla Cage does.  (Any suggestion about this change? Is VS more DPA  than PJ to worth it despite the risk to take unwanted aggro?).

     

    Short Circuit and Power Sink are melee range then they aren't fit on my concept.

     

    Power Surge exhausted and drained effects (lost HP and END) doesn't like to me and I see this like more dangerous than useful.

    * Ion Radial (ranged DMG, chance of hold).

    * Reactive Core (RES debuff, fire DoT).

    * Lore not decided yet (any suggestion to fit the electric theme or to take an useful lore pet?).

    Good single damage with plenty of single attacks and near perma Phantom Army (perma with Chrono Shift up or Arcane Bolt proc), good crowd control and debuffs (Slowed Response only 267'9% accuracy... But I don't figure how to put more slots to enhance it without mess other powers), more survivable Phantasm, less but great defenses and resists yet using Power Boost and Farsight on cooldown, good heals and better endurance gestion than before.

    Only drawback is that I'll need more attention to cooldowns and play more actively, but I'll be more fun (I hope).

     

    I'll start to check the build today and I'll put my feelings here. Of course, I'm open yet to any suggestion about this build.

  8. Hello Onlyasandwich, thanks for your answer and your tips.

     

    - I know that Phantom Army are invulnerable but Phantasm is not. I could remove all the auras from Phantasm and adding explosive strike proc and other IO from same set to get a bit more of damage. Soulbound allegiance buildup is set on Phantom Army (could it get a proc chance on every atack of every pet from PA? I don't know but it would be nice...)

     

    - I agree with the lack of AoEs does very slow solo but I don't care about that. I prefer to focus on hard targets to debuff and damage them mantain all other soft targets at bay with spectral terror, deceive and blind (I don't know if it's a good strategy but I think would be doable). I don't want Energy Torrent, I prefer Arcane Bolt despite FF chance + recharge is better if it hits on multiple targets. I prefer mantain Deceive (another pseudopet to help with control with a little risk to lost some inf), Superior Invis (defense and nice to run stealth missions fast) and Power Blast (ST damage).

     

    - Delayed response is a very useful tool to debuff defense and resists from targets but I don't see how to add more enh slots on it without to break the build I post down here (If anybody can refine it I'd be very grateful)

     

    - Hero Designer shows that Chrono Shift with a SO endurance mod gives less endurance recovery than it with performance shifter (chance + end). I don't know if it is true or not, but I'm going to mantain the performance shifter just in case (if it's not a bug, of course).

    I'm going to study it and I'll try to rid off the fighting pool to control the endurance issues. I don't understand why the recharge time affects to procs. I read about it on other posts but I cannot figure it. I like the agility core because I think it suits fine on my build concept then I'm thinking about to change the blind IOs but I don't know what to choose for it.

     

    I'll post another test build soon.

    • Slowed Response needs accuracy.
    • 2x recharge in Power Boost. 
    • You want Clarion Radial, not Core. Radial boosts secondary effects and you can stack it with Power Boost on Farsight.

    • It’s a lvl 50 build after a respec, not a levelling build. Blind with six procs on it has 225’3% accuracy with Tactics and Farsight active. I don’t know if that accuracy is enough but I feel it OK.
    • I can see the point about the damage proc in Deceive. Moved the slot from Deceive to Power Boost to get more recharge on it.
    • Slowed Response with Achilles’ Heel enh has 204’9% accuracy (Tactics and Farsight active). Changed Achilles’ to Analyze Weakness Accuracy/Defense Debuff to get 246’6% accuracy now. I think it’s enough.
    • Power Boost gets 2x recharge now.
    • I am doubting about Clarion Core or Radial. I know Radial boosts secondary effects but my build has a big hole on status protection (IMHO). Radial doesn’t cover that for the full buff duration like Core, leaving my toon with 30 seconds without good status protection. I’d take Radial If anybody gives me good advice about how to cover the status protection hole.

    My main goals are to get the perma PA to be able to debuff and damage mobs soloing and support with perma FARSIGHT, heals and debuffs targets when grouped.

     

    I'm open to sugestions to improve this build, I'd like to mantain my chose powers but I'd not hesitate to change if the suggestion is a remarkable upgrade.
