[Playing without travel powers]

I like to roleplay my characters :) When i make someone with wings, Flying or Hover is mandatory. My cat-themed Brute uses Bestial Run, my Street Justice Scrapper uses Ninja Run etc. But honestly - flying is my favourite power. Raining fire and destruction on my enemies heads from high above? Yes, please  ;D Having said that - yes, dipping into travel power early on can hurt. Sacrificing one of skill slots leaves a hero short one offensive\defensive power in already very limited repertoire.

[Staff/Dark Recovery Woes]

Would Staff\Regen Brute be viable? I took this set for my first character, but he's still low level. Should i proceed with levelling, or re-roll into something more beginner-friendly?

It's a work week. I managed to squeeze three session of CoH between work shifts and family\house stuff. In total maybe... 8 hours of playtime? I already made two characters, and have ideas for couple more. Do i have a problem? Heck, no - what i have is loads of fun fiddling with the Creator  ;D See ya on the mean streets o/

Thanks for the quick responses. Some great info. One other question I have is, how long does this game take to DL? I have pretty solid internet and I'm maybe 10% through after about an hour. No problem if it takes away(I'm guessing it's 9 years of content, so it makes sense) but I'm just making sure everything is going as it should. Thanks.

 

Game is only about 4,5 gigabytes. Tequila loader... in my experience it loves to get stuck on random files. During my own download i had to close it like five or 6 times. After restart it downloaded offending file, then several others... and then got stuck again  :(

When the game was live, my internet connection was so bad, i abandoned the idea of even trying to play it. When i finally got decent enough connection, it was literally days before the fatal announcement. So i logged in once, took a mournful look at the game i waited for so long to play, and logged out. But... here and now... we are back :) With all my heart, i thank you dear Devs for resurrecting City of Heroes.
