[New Incarnate slots/Battalion story]

Not a priority, of course, but since this is the Suggestions page, I figured this would be the best place to put this. What would it take to add the untapped Incarnate powers into the game, perhaps with story content alongside it? And what effects would you want them to have?

 

The power types we already have are:

 

Auto (Alpha)

AoE (Judgement)

Debuff Proc (Interface)

Pet (Lore)

League-wide Buff (Destiny)

Combination Auto/Toggle (Hybrid)

 

According to the Lore AMA's released after the Sunset, the next one, Genesis would have been a GTAoE effect. They also stated that most Battalion troops would be randomized costumes to reflect the varied natures of the conquered peoples under the Battalion, possibly utilizing the Lua system. With i24 wrapping up the Praetorian arc, the next few issues would have dealt with the coming of the Battalion, then Earth getting curbstomped, and then rallying to throw them off, with the player becoming their own Well in the process.

 

So what about Stance, Vitae, and Omega? What should be in those slots? I think a Crowd Control effect could fit into one of those, and Omega might just be an all around enhancement to bookend Alpha, perhaps. As to the story content, I know it's not a thing that could happen anytime soon, but I'm curious how possible it could be.

Autonomy only works if there are options to choose from. At no point am I attacking your use of the AE, just trying to widen the pool of choices.

More options are always better, that's the entire draw of this game, from the costume creator, to power selection, to how every build can be viable.

I'm not telling you how to play, my point is merely that filling chat with only AE group requests makes it seem like that's the only content available, which in effect lessens the visible choices new players have to team up, especially those without the experience in the game to know what else is available.

For those concerned about AE nerfs making it more difficult to restore your old characters to where they were, I do sympathize, but please consider this: LFG is filled with AE group requests, to the point thatradio and story mission group requests are routinely buried in chat, and completely new players see that. If most of the group content they see is AE, and not stories that you all have seen a bunch, but they never have, I feel like there's less of a chance of retaining these new players who have heard stories of the varied content this game has if the only thing they're exposed to in the first chance they have to play the game is AE farms. Side note: do the AH prices really need to be inflated this high so soon?

Not sure about the first question, but I noticed on redside if i talked to the head facemaker, she could change body types, but the underlings and arbiters could not. Don't know what the hero or praetorian equivalent is.

No clue, sadly. And apologies if I appear condescending - trying to get my friends who have never played before into the game, and it leaves me in an "explain everything" mindset

Are you sure that's patrol xp and not xp debt? You get xp debt when you die, and until it's paid off, you only receive half of the xp you earn, the rest going to debt. And yes, there are badges for paying off debt :P
