  1.  I am glad to see more and more people playing or getting into Kheldians.

We are the jack of all , master of none ( well we are not meant to be 😛 ) .  Even to this day I still think the Live Dev's , don't really know what they unleashed, and I for one am grateful to play this AT.

I play a WARSHADE !!!  a tri-form.  And let me tell you , it is a complex AT. I can do some crazy things with it but, it is a focused build and my binds thought out.  The downside? I need bodies, more bodies, hey santa I was kinda good so give me bodies, ect.  For me it had a learning curve, and it was a big one. Then one day I just had that " Oh this is how to play this AT " moment.  Slotting will drive you crazy until you figure out what you want to do with your toon, then it will just give you headaches trying to fit everything in  😛

And now to talk about the other kheldian.  For ME, I think a PB is just a WS with training wheels. I am NOT saying they are bad or don't have there place, I just fall asleep playing one.

My point it , try them out and don't give up .  We are here to help

Man, I'm almost 54 and still can't grow a beard outside of a goatee. And ... I just shaved my head.

Well anyway, getting this thing set up is becoming annoying, and I hope it's just the server load that is causing it and it will eventually work.

I got the client installed on this Windows gaming rig, but it keeps "timing out" every time I try to open the Web Control. So, I set up my username, HC_RikOz, and team number in the client itself (from the Advanced Control menu option). I requested a Passkey, which they still haven't sent me, despite two requests sent ~four hours apart. Looking at the Protein Viewer, after several hours the Status window still shows "Connection: Trying" and it's just displaying the Demo protein.

Meanwhile, my old iMac has been sitting here doing absolutely nothing, so I fired it up and installed the client there. the Web Control connected on the first try, so I was able to enter my username and team number there and get things started. Firing up the Protein Viewer, the Status window already shows "Connection: Connected", though it seems to be still loading the protein. That's only been a few minutes at this point, though.

So I have no idea why my 2-year-old Windows 10 machine can't connect, but my 11-year-old iMac hooked right up.

EDIT: Looking closer, it seems my Windows machine is indeed doing its thing. It's just the viewer not wanting to work.

FYI the " Viewer" has been borked for a long time.. and yes the WU servers are getting SLAMMED right now. If you read the forums on F@H they was just putting out like 1,000 WU a day , now they are trying to pump out like 100,000 WU's. They are getting more servers up, it just takes time.

  3. One of the best moments I ever had  in COH was on a Shade.

A friend after much poking and prodding got me to make a MFing WarShade, he already had one so he talked and walked me thru all of the build and the binds . And after some time, some cussing, and one broken keyboard, I got my Shade to 50 and then to full IO'ed.

One night there was a shout out for a TF ( sorry don't remember what one) , so we both joined. While we waited for the team to finish up last min things, the tank told us " Look I know you warshades think your crazy and bad but stick to me and I will keep you alive."  So I told my buddy " That's it , we are going to run right over this tank." The team goes into the first mission and the tank wants to have a chat about how he wants to run this TF.

Tank,  " Ok gather around",,, " Where are you two going?",,,,  " What are you DOING? I am the TANK! "  5 min later " Why am I even here? "  10 min later tank leaves the TF

    Good times :)
