Thanks for the feedback, everyone, and sorry for the slow reply--busy life this past week. definitely good to know about the LotG being separate from set bonuses! @UunThanks for the extremely specific advice, that was useful and instructive. I've made revisions based on your recs and it already has way better numbers than my first pass. I moved AOO earlier, but at the cost of bumping grant cover near the end of the line. I'm open to suggestions on which powers hurt the least to push to the end of the line instead if you have a better idea. And let me know if you think I borked anything in my effort to adjust to your recommendations. |MBD;23253;1472;1964;BASE64;| |G9RaERWUcAgtDniyTLgXLBWigY367n/d06NSdHYIc0v9mTF0BknZmRJmm6h89dwmzP8| |ngbbQcmQ99IRfs+h09fUGmzcoMlXLqjYget1TtFenCq4maHFsE6Elg6Q2v//v3prQK9| |xKsSfZyhcahUX+9kIt7U0NPWMXoQZcabpVh8NiPGi3icp90CUOCa6o8XLHxlC7Drt2J| |ibKo0H8tWDoFeU6Rc+nBu6b0k3zacKLqwiKX0N5ZxInhV9DxPz4pJwGvBXrLzfF+bao| |xLrlNDzglE9DLpnU25OZsQqEKaVVlIiSNS20z9ZdGHUsFAx7bBSx702zJMJm/Jt9Pr/| |+eZ76l+AmB1C2l+BywgsqqWdMr+YOB9qS4C4d5Ezs5fCWp8G1yUIyoAOntwa5vVuujT| |aWcUwRy+x7c0Y/+YPw23qz2zSTLTDN+vD2utFOBaWbqN1Eky2x7DhzNuTnmp54UhvLH| |wj7BE3nQ1fIkjJrtYCKVruNmL0pRdjZFN2KOPscqsI+TgRGvcTIDf8TerxSro245Z+u| |OLWcgMV7DmnKyMj+Vzl73vl4TCkK2QvKXV5nMq3AIEqIgnLNAWKfA998OijwmSCVK8B| |le6NBR6P8wB/C7b6ho87ZXMsPYt39vxOSQBGSU1AMyXmEdMQdmLp9JcOqn7fObHbqqE| |mwuVeuLJ3LceOX/wkucm2O4AgaESzVwgIoDsX5jYDD8iuaExAqnsNPNlZV6FpxyJsA3| |4JwuIRiLq/oiTygbedKtKIEkvLACLokokESF2CytzM9i4YxAVxDWAsvwkYSEPblLcVP| |4T0vJeeRNHuZx93y0/JChYP4yCMqM4aOa5rXJsUlAcstjQv3+IL+C4PodZV8btsBt1B| |UU6r4TEbVGlBuVvj1L5ocKz6EMfsegCGiWsgtwBiiCsR2hCVzbUp9s5NlHOZWH07G6c| |dlHrdwYrmcN/nXcE+pfTEkL/Zf7Phs10L9o5hlFS0/EraIldtXaOcSVtMX2FDsX6VCP| |D5NYGLBM7LXuq6yObgsCWUQDRPQLhxy2bCF3aS9YWFjpF94b/65862a3Az4xAPFt92H| |ruhiNtsICkFC9YR1WriNowGfyh6nV93DHfeMgGOUD/1KtX57Xl/AEPEdhBeEN8A4Yio| |ClJy95zjFZbyzwh1dgQkFDGPu6kR5ShUyl2k3241zEJccUJ1jr5qcWhhB36IYklNgHP| |oeOXKOyopiZ3KFtJwHABuK3XJv3wULlO1dLr0ogSR1KESSJoygsxKYQHCIYr4pl3zhX| |KHvZ5qOyZPiK6zlzmajuB7t3YZiQQkYQe8LakBxJCqEJTFJTcp6/vkNuIKO4l4vlyoG| |Wy3/jhjhwz7Z0hIwQgSGtAYYh8sIbmCBylKoo9ppabeBGhqDJ+eRaMhjlrzc/p3rOJ3| |HuVWq9R5ZEN0liwvO188ToyLsLzjuq8sjomUlYADt1mB+LKu/T3FRk5qROXHf+Qwe3r| |4gDzjg5WmKN6+hxyzeIFskQBl6x4C6uwWy7a3qtBBxTvudCS4A73kYAS4U11TYVO8Uh| |jLu1yQRTMjFVVAx910aIArs8bUDD3nAbeyDlVVbVLCVR8G89rDU/dwCH1RTRsJMFgCu| |n2J0FqHssuGeXfzjThTlMrW/BYNFmLrUrs0DsZf49Nk123HTW3lgzhrLEll1RcWEM7i| |aPT65gQPFGT0hRk6Akr2JXA2Vqga16Nf+ycMD8APgZU3PeLL/Qn31IGHOc9r7zjzlAH| |Ptu+GgRqltZ8ibU+px5pxbbBv1daFR8hFV5/R2dl6AiVgJ+q9v/hPmm+1lt8v+6b9TX| |aGO9SSAeJ3+22bb/1qXDUlNls7zEEdidJwV699tyJAOUQnrnN1CuoNDJODsaH7JvA7l| |1f+kWWVYtU+1TtiXD8kwc1eOE8WcYyVSUiy/kcMGim8Tdd5RfEKXGFJof20Xsi2wnae| |oZY9skJDjwNIb/k3o+Ts=|

Hello! I'm assembling a new RP brute. Did some teaming, got to 36, slapped a build together. The concept is "What if a magical girl was 40," and I've decided to interpret that as "this magical girl fights the way Syama Pedersen animates Space Marines" (thank you Erika Chappell) I have a loose list of 'objectives', but would like advice on how to hit any of them easier than I am managing to do here. Positional softcap. I will never solo in a way that matters so I'm always gonna have at least one friend nearby. Good "mouth feel." Shield Charge is great for screen-shaking mobility. Spring Attack feels less good but still provides, so I've taken both in order to have the option to rapid fire them in a pinch. Also, Shield Charge is slotted for KB because I want to see people fly away when I hit them, but I realize this may be suboptimal. I'm willing to convert if the impact is big enough. Similar to Crowd Control, I want to feel the "Sauron Sweep" with the mace. Good recharge, NO HASTEN. I hate hasten. Shield already comes with a clicky I need to set to "auto" and I will never manage having two. In addition, shield charge and spring attack both have miserable recharge rates. Currently has 4 lotg + global recharges and the set bonus from kinetic crash rounds that out to 5, which is I think how the limit still works? Reasonable resistances. I feel like brutes should be able to pull this off but. no end problems. energy mastery is probably crudely brute forcing it, but it does let me do goofy things like proc bomb laser beam eyes. I am not a high velocity turbo challenge person. I'd like to keep up with the big kids and make a good showing but I don't need to solo giant monsters or anything. Concerns: I am not good at this! I'm sure everything can be tuned better. I may have too many attacks. I'm worried if I get recharge goals met, I'll have up to 8 attacks available at any one time, which may be more than is useful. Losing some may let me grab one-drop wonders like Build Up and save some slots, but I'm not sure what would be best in this case. Speaking of build up: i know it feels like a no brainer but I just assume Brutes are Cruise Control for Cool and don't super benefit from it? I could be way off. Money is no real object, but also, it's kind of a real object. I only have so much time in the week, etc, so 10 purple sets is probably out of the question. Current build plan!: |MBD;23252;1420;1896;BASE64;| |G9NaICwKbBuZfSeOBuYtPTK/LkW69sw2UfnpuU2Y/+QDtLByZD30hF+z6HT1ddoq5dG| |bSQv0U/qUPH+qvE1rhXYvS4ex2hGxXxJUAhHG+ZeT6v+3fBclI9Wb9BU6KjYyf2bfpr| |QGXbY6KUtp+7GluQ8OB0KVJgw4EbTjjZr7oDskku84KLwEiQJiDLXrsHthPlJLFH+Nr| |lyRLVP0dOoP901h6JhfC1GcJ5D4JRReb176CfBriBgJMUm7gX+T9zjrivN1M17mBg4d| |D4zC+wBmMid19nhmrgKBK6V5CglllqD02b4XvCgUMNyrTpD6Xhi2ZGrkd/QgUCOl8ez| |jif7kmB/UpH5e4sU8YEDbkjykg6xYrxzc8lTYuGaMPNG+Ya1D7nimY1d2zA9eCaxsXp| |uR/fiXQLf25rCpj10v9b/xXR70lZN0O8URmp2IlZZ9TziyG0biUW0ue5D6H9SBD8xPl| |pQ/q1HKn96OmdGv5ZQ6oISbc9b39OLT/ETC68eiZtkyt7xark24meBevrS+ABNtPlPn| |i7Hjr/TL86p/tw4KlrIXBg/5jcnUAoOgVJ7tB0bCIzbeYr7D9ym5x9eeBD1wgqJzvH3| |DPwjT+8Z4aavfyv4IW9wFJQmKkZwGxUnOoaSIO+jafK3C2rxu7WsO6viaYGsvW0raZu| |D+XP4nuMi1GZKj14igpFYWoAji+YGAQ+c7WiEpqHpCiBrLk+maPeSTcy9DBlxCzJmK/| |ukOaJsVJVlRgqQcMMSUVHQ0UQamdLbPbDOeEsA1yjrzouzkBJS9/Bbxcf9uq8dJe9td| |a3E5qllcmxTXrUun/Fq4neDMdxjyNHeZxbYtcBeizerpnsqoWo7B17m4/kQnx8o3l3P| |mIwBDoir0NmCcqAa1RVisVp0tuLbLONS03kIimM/LHGFsYUiX5Pd3W0PdzfzuaYTmg5| |hpayJfE/Y+1roCqOSSWt0X2BD7e6kQU2T60YpmhjAQ1IhQSCIutRxOPZJ1fNr6UB+3c| |uSrIuCGuMuurWn1b0jDE1KRJS9KkKQJQ0yumoYGbm44Zp+apn5c4WsF4OXMmx2OuD1h| |8IqhMNvD5+eKBQyJr1HeUN6BETEtATJKPHCeYuL/uDwib4EJBYNoI2+Vp1Qhc5D/6Q6| |/KeQlB8bIwhYnaWGIuUJxktPACGMXFrXrXKbeyRaPRgA2xOYoVQPm2ndFe4BlfAbXtP| |C7L3BD3Eec6ijtfNUXNE+NW+gIrCeBMYyeng6KSFIZlvcKviZtUt7fAi/Ee79cY8DZQ| |fZXhNF75BdbWwJjRGC0dWCEMmPVzz9kJ/vds19x6hCd+gp+BSHr5ig4YmcoypXfWMcZ| |BBsAqLWFLMjYZRbX0d68ToyKEOvwdt3IR9e1vIG8wiKkjUTWVMAAwzblZ14VVm7IgwB| |cqoG4bJsqmeGVvUcAzV4hhpZb3UBbIS3lbdKLwjntFwo4Bp57yRF4Id6naN+1S38ZQ+| |5SyXIstWdaZlUJQQjom4e7TLfAhFysF3P+5TppYee/uWIyVCpy8iEPTMsiuZa+rL6zz| |ZhVNy6JV2o2M/WxQvLmJUZnlc4p3BGqiL33RNrLWku7N0/kXrVTcjjdwW9cu8a1iFcT| |Fgspezl8CP/M+BpD4RkZ80k8e+VjZRfPWiqUNV3XE9X5m3eVL9cXvra+vP7nUAEO5BZ| |XU1n+SpyzgGwy2M7PLTmGrUt2bZRX2kqmfExSwcbcYnOaN9auXsI7VK07dmfPDTCJlf| |A/pHNVzI/u5VnsjK9+OdWVwzBuA4jVKd973H/tz7rUZbKFP2KY8I6QP/2MlAgXxm3+D| |0GChvK+BVIrC+CZB2O/zH/lOFHM8DUxc2Pp93GYo0o8SydO4mO6pEuh/bFd2BHCHl4y| |1HZyh6Qciy+wokOP7A==| WarriorCoco - Cool concept! I, also, as well, have a StJ/WP scrapper doober, and while the concepts aren't identical (my lil guy is more 'technique and chi leads to power and speed' over say car-chucking and bullet dodging), they're a lil similar. I am not an expert, or even very good (i have no idea what the optimal place for superior critical strikes is!), but I will supply a couple of opinions! Off the cuff, I feel like your Fast Healing is overslotted for what it does for you, while RttC could get you a lot of traction by slotting in To Hit Debuff; it's the secret sauce that spikes WP's defenses a lot, probably more net HP's worth "retained" over the regen you get for full heal slotting. I feel like combat readiness is also over-slotted. I always thought of that as a 1-slot wonder if you can reliably get your accuracy from somewhere else, like normal slotting, a toggle, or set bonuses. That said, your ToHit is bananas! Where's that all coming from. Is proc bombing all the rage these days? I ask because I see 3 instances of Kinetic Combat that are all 1 piece away from 7.5% move speed glory. Likewise, Aegis offers better Smash/Lethal resistance at 4 slots, plus gives 7.5% move speed at 2 slots. Here's my totals (RttC at 4 targets): My concept has a lot "concept choices" but here's my slotting if it's useful to look at. Key differences in totals are: ~8% more smash lethal resistance, same-ish psionic resistance, way more fire/cold. Some defenses are lower, but RttC is throwing out -6.29% To Hit. I'm using musculature radial paragon right now (to hit debuff and run speed are so tasty), but Spiritual Radial makes an extremely strong argument for itself. ...Hm, note to self, I should really just stick a guassian proc in combat readiness instead of recharge, for as much as I remember to use it. ... ...Oh, wow, I don't even have impervium psi res slotted. I should fix that lmao. maybe I need to post myself in another thread.
