bitzie Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 I'm wondering if this is even possible. I use my thumb4 for mouse look and LMB for default click. But after years of WoW I've gotten used to using mouse4 and LMB to simultaneously move forward and mouse look. Is this even possible in CoH? The binds I've tried so far seem to make it so that the LMB will always trigger forward, which obviously will not work.
Captain Fabulous Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 I'm not sure I fully understand what you're trying to accomplish. You want the LMB to be default click, unless you're pressing both the LMB and thumb4 simultaneously, which then initiates move forward and mouselook (W + middle button), but no click? Is this correct?
bitzie Posted May 25, 2019 Author Posted May 25, 2019 Exactly. Here's my default setup in Wow: LMB: Default click RMB: Jump Button 4: Mouse look Button 5: Back Z: Forward LMB and Button 4: Mouse look and forward An unconventional setup I know, but it frees up the movement keys from the main fingers on the left hand.
Captain Fabulous Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 Pressing the right and left buttons at the same time will do pretty much want you want -- move forward and enable mouse look, and after 2 seconds puts you into auto run. You can then tap the left button to stop. I'm not a bind expert, but I don't think you can trigger a bind using two keys or buttons (the exceptions are modifier keys shift, alt, and control). The right + left button is a unique case, with it's own special command.
bitzie Posted May 25, 2019 Author Posted May 25, 2019 Right. but the problem with that is that I use RMB for jump, so if I use that combo I will jump first which I don't want to do.
bitzie Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Just in case someone else sees this, I was given a solution on reddit. Using the Logitech software I can just reassign the buttons and have the proper functionality. Time to go kill.. ermmm.. "arrest" some criminals!
