Probably been asked, but, out of curiosity

I know this has probably been asked before, but I was wondering if there was going to finally be a way to invite your alts to an SG of your own creation?  If you try to /sgi <name of alt> you still get the message <name of alt> does not exist, is hidden, or is not online at the moment.  I know that there are other games where you can invite an offline (i.e. alt) character, but I was wondering if this might be implemented at some point.
