Solo Scrapper: Ice Melee/Energy Aura? or Dark/Dark

I’m reading that Dark Melee is fun, so leaning a bit in that direction.  
 

But given that I expect to be soloing a lot, including hopefully end game content, I’m wondering what folks recommend. 
 

Also, appreciate any links to builds.

I loved Dark melee/armor back in the day.  It had a good amount of self healing and damage reduction.  A little bit of stealth too if you needed.  I was able to solo a lot of the content.

 

This was like 20 years ago though so I don't know what shape it's in now.

Ice/energy is great for solo end game content. 

 

Ice patch is crazy fun throw down some caltrops and laugh
