IpkonfigCMD Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I have been making endless builds on the test server trying to find a good combo to both solo. Honestly just doing +2/8 with bosses is enough for me, but also not just flat line in groups. A few that I made can do +2/8 Smashing/Lethal AE farms super easy, but then flatline in ANYTHING else. I am not a rich player. I have about 200m Inf right now, and a collection of attuned IOs laying around. Lots of different proc items. I was going to try and make a proc controller, but it seems like it would be really hard to have the accuracy needed given the lack of accuracy you aren't slotting. I don't have any purple IOs laying around, but I do have the merits to purchase the Controller specific stuff and then purple those. I really like Symph, Grav, Electric, and Dark. For secondaries I REALLY like Kinetics, but also Time, Dark, Radiation. But honestly anything that would work well would be fine as long as it's a controller with some decent support for the group and soloability when I don't have group time. Does anyone have anything laying around that could fit my hopes and dreams! I really don't want to make yet another melee because they are so easy to build and stomp through everything. Thank you!!
Story Archer Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) I honestly think you can't go wrong with a Dark/Dark. My early experiences with it thus far have been a lot of fun, it's proven itself very capable in both solo and group play and it gives you a ton of different tools in the toolbox so you can customize it to your play style. That's also your answer to proc'ing because so many of the Dark powers have high inherent accuracies or are already autohit. See below for a snapshot of mine; I load up Dark Grasp, Possess and Howling Twilight in particular. My first Controller was Plant/Kinetics and she is an absolute baller, but her powerset is much more suited to group play, obviously. Illusion/storm is supposedly a steamroller, but they get run so often it's almost become a cliche. I do find myself wondering how strong a properly built Illusion/Storm would be in the late game, but it seems like it'd be a grind for the first 25 levels or so. Edited February 8 by Story Archer
