Post apocalyptic pauldrons not available in asymetric mode

I wanted to have my hero have shoulder stuff on both shoulders, and one post apocalyptic pauldron. To my frustration, despite the fact that you can get one pauldron on either shoulder, you can't get it on asymetric mode
