Barrier Reef lowering Def?

When i summon my Barrier Reef my def show as lower then when it's out. The total in my status are not adding up correctly?

I'm a corrupter, Storm blast Marine affinity.


Barrier reef is slotted with Preventive- medicine healing, healing/endurance, luck of the gambler- global recharge speed, and Shield wall- Def/End. Def, and Res all+ Tel prot.

Maybe it just a display bug? but it's almost like barrier reef as an aura that is lowing my Def? when i dismiss the pet my def drops down to 14ish then pops back up to 29 after a few seconds?

Just checking in to see if anyone else is seeing a similar problem? I'm still seeing the same issue today? Is this a know bug with how def displays or is it acutely lowing my character def?

The additional defense from Evasive Maneuvers gets suppressed in Combat.

Yup, what you're seeing is Evasive Maneuvers being suppressed. 29.24 - 14.78 + 8.05 = 22.51. Working as intended.

Oh that makes sense. Thanks. did not realize that about Evasive Maneuvers but that does make sense given how much of a bonus it gives.
