Full disclosure, I am only referring to the Marine Affinity side, as I am in the process of respeccing my controller.

 

I have Steadfast Res/Def and KB in Toroidal bubble, with Glad +3 Def  & Res in Toriodal Bubble (and different way with by Epic pool).  This gives +4 KB protection instead of +3 and adds 1.5% recovery.  And I maintain +6 defense when exemplaring down, which I do often.

 

Allegedly, and I just found this out today, the Panacea proc in Barrier Reef affects you AND your allies.  Moving it to there busts up your Reactive Defenses bonuses, you lose 3-10% resist (Scaling), and 1.5% defense, BUT you increase your global recharge by 6.25%, double the absorb from Barrier reef  AND give everyone a shot of regen/end when Panacea procs (allegedly).  I would consider sacrificing the Res/End in Equip Robot and adding a slot for Scaling Resist on Combat Jumping or whatever.  They're getting extra heals from BR to make up for the fractional loss in resist.

 

I've seen many opinions on slotting Shifting Tides different ways, you and came to a similar conclusion with that one.
