Roleplay Fan Canon For City of Villains Arcade Machine

Some RP inspired posts which are fan lore for the City of Villains arcade cabinet my character posted along with some friends:

[04:29:52] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "Oh! Okay"
[04:29:55] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  I'll be Scirocco. You pick Black Scorpion.
[04:29:59] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  He's easy mode.
[04:30:10] PsiSweetie nods, doing as she's told
[04:30:11] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Now okay so watch this.
[04:30:16] Jacqui House Rock taps the two red buttons.
[04:30:28] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  When I hit these, and Scirocco does the Devil Dervish. You press your blue buttons.
[04:30:40] Jacqui House Rock smacks her red buttons, and waits for PsiSweetie to use hers.
[04:30:41] PsiSweetie quickly presses the buttons
[04:31:02] Jacqui House Rock motions to the screen. Black Scorpion did a massive tail whip that slapped the mobs into the tornados.
[04:31:15] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "Oh! Well! That... that worked!"
[04:31:18] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  You see? We can spam this till end game and win most rounds. If you play safe.
[04:31:35] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  If you're half health press green one one, then two. You'll repair mode with nanite swarm.
[04:31:52] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere... Thank you."

[04:36:02] PsiSweetie nods, readying over the buttons
[04:36:09] PsiSweetie SMASH
[04:37:06] Jacqui House Rock uses her whole hand to hit the buttons. The screen does a special cinematic of Scirocco. He says, 'This is my true path, I am a hero!' It seems to cause a shock to the Arachnos, but Serafina and Ice Mistral come to his side and perform an ultimate.
[04:37:33] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "Woah. I was just.... punching everyone. Individually. This is so much cooler."
[04:38:01] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  You have to sacrifice yours for me to do that, it's special to Scirocco. Cause he's already basically a defector. They baked that into the game.
[04:38:16] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  If you're a pair together you have to use yours at mine same time, to do that.
[04:38:49] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "Interesting. So both people just use their abilities together. Maybe that was my problem, trying to do it solo."
[04:38:55] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Black Scorpion's is Arachnos arachnobot army swarm, it's all right but worth ditching.

[04:40:37] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  This time I'll play Lord Recluse, he has a special tag power with Ghost Widow.
[04:40:55] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  When I press green, you press blue. It makes you phase in and out and makes me empowered with your dark miasma.
[04:41:01] Jacqui House Rock smacks the green buttons.
[04:41:04] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Do it now.
[04:41:23] [Local] Vera Tanicka:  "Sure, and I plan to not le- *hits blue button when Jacqui hits green* t the badguys get anything done."
[04:41:36] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  And see if you need to heal, you use that. You heal out of phase. And I can take the tanking.
[04:41:49] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Go damage and then ditch to phase for healing and let me handle it.
[04:42:01] Vera Tanicka rather tahn trying to defeat the badguys she actively makes an effort to effectively stun-lock them constantly, setting them up for Jacquis control of Lord Recluse to take them out cleaner.

[04:42:32] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  See how Vera is locking them down, then we team combo and I use his Frenzy.
[04:42:42] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  It's like a lock and key.
[04:42:52] PsiSweetie nods happily "Yeah, this game is far more exciting than I thought."
[04:43:13] Vera Tanicka makes a smiley on the mask. ;"I love playing this like this, if I was only actually a temporal domain in reality."
[04:43:18] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  But you gotta do team combos. Which is why nobody uses Mako. He has nothing with anyone, cause he's so solo minded in Arachnos.
[04:43:38] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Mako only has one team combo and it's with Scirocco. Cause of Leviathan.
[04:43:53] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Magic alignment shark dust devil.

[04:44:32] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  It's on the side of the machine, amiga.
[04:45:10] PsiSweetie chuckles to herself "Huh. I didn't really look at that, honestly. I just thought I would jump in and play."
[04:45:17] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Vera do Ghost Widow fearsome stare, I'll show her the channelgun spray.
[04:45:26] [Local] Vera Tanicka:  "i think I saw the tiefling gal 'troll' using Black scorpion."  *Unleashes fearsome stare*
[04:46:03] Jacqui House Rock uses her swapped control to unleash a Dark Miasma empowered Lord Recluse channel gun. It is a wide Crab Soldier like AoE spray attack that nukes the screen.
[04:46:13] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "Holy shit..."
[04:46:27] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "You make this game look almost too easy."

[04:46:42] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  That's the name for her phase, black hole.
[04:46:51] [Local] Vera Tanicka:  "Honestly i'm just throwing abilities out based on personal experiences in the field."
[04:47:02] [Local] Vera Tanicka:  "Its a little harder in the 'actual' field."
[04:47:05] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  But when he's slower he's using the full Arachnos power. That's what the game makers did to signify why Ghost Widow survives with Arachnos.
[04:47:17] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  She's their power. So when she phases into death Recluse is at max power.
[04:47:30] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Lord Recluse can't be as strong with any other tag partner.
[04:47:43] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "So, he'd be a good one to play solo?"
[04:47:47] [Local] Vera Tanicka:  "Ghost widow is, kind of a back bone to lord recluses brain and muscle."
[04:47:54] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Nah, you want Lord Recluse with Ghost Widow always.
[04:47:58] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Unless you're doing a challenge.

[04:48:49] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  Ghost Widow has a fun tag with Scirocco though.
[04:49:44] [Local] PsiSweetie:  "I didn't expect to have to know so much going into it, or I'd have read the machine better."
[04:50:15] [Local] Jacqui House Rock:  It's an arcade game, it's how these things work. Make you pay the quarters even if you know to really get it.

You know, I always assumed the City of Heroes/Villains arcade cabinets were fighting games. Don't know why, just makes sense in my head.
