JodisWelch Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Requiescat In Pace Diogo Jota and his younger brother André Silva Don't how many here are big Sports fans in general, let alone fans specifically of European Football but a terrible human tragedy has unfolded in the last 24 hours. Diogo Jota, 28 year old Forward for Liverpool Football Club and the Portugal National Team has died along with his younger brother André Silva, 25 years old and also a Professional Player in the Portugal lower leagues in an apparent traffic incident in Spain overnight. At time of writing, no foul play suspected, police believe the vehicle lost control following a tire blowout. Jota recently completed a Premier League winning season at Liverpool FC in May and a UEFA Nations League win with national side Portugal in June. Perhaps the most devastating part of all of this, it was barely a week after he married his long-time girlfriend and mother of his 3 children. He had only just posted a video showing some highlights of his wedding yesterday on Instagram.
