Aegis Unique (Psi/Status) IO Buff Not Matching Language?

On my 50+ Invul/Rad/Soul Tank, looking at the Status Effect Resistance numbers, the Aegis unique is giving me -16.67% duration from all effects (Hold, Immob., Stun, Sleep, Confuse, Terrorize).  The language of the unique itself, however, states that it gives a 20% reduction.  Is the language incorrect in that it gives a 20% reduction from a baseline, or should it be showing a -20.00% reduction of duration total?  Also, it is giving no duration reduction from Placate and Taunt; should it be?

The IO in question grants 20% resistance.  The formula for duration is:

duration = 1/(1+resistance)

 

so duration = 1/1.2 =0.8333 which is a decrease in duration from 100% to 83.33%, or a reduction of 16.67%.

 

if the IO says it grants a 20% reduction rather than 20% resistance, that probably is a terminology that should be changed.

 

With regards to taunt/placate resist, this IO grants no protection from those.  And outside of PvP, those effects were exceedingly rare when the IO was made.
