RakaiThwei Posted Thursday at 05:31 PM Posted Thursday at 05:31 PM (edited) I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug or anything but this has happened to me twice this month... So sometimes, the game severely lags up and the lagging is so severe it also affects the functionality of my PC to where EVERYTHING is lagging. It forces me to either hard reboot or shut down my PC. Now the first time that's happened was when I logged onto CoH in Ouroboros a couple of weeks back, and the loading screen took a look time to go through and the game just lagged heavily. I had to force quit in task manager and that's when I noticed that everything was severely lagging. And then this issue happened again today-- and it was immediately right after I teleported to Peregrine Island. Again, I had to force stop and hard reboot. Has anyone had this issue? Rudra Posted Thursday at 08:04 PM Posted Thursday at 08:04 PM No, I haven't. Are you sure you don't have a background program interfering with the game? Or a virus? Watch your computer processes when you play, see if there is something else that spikes and then see if that remains spiked even after you close the game. (Or, and this is very unlikely given the age of the game, check to make sure your computer meets the game's minimum specs.)

I have done multiple scans on my PC with my Anti-Virus and Malwarebytes. No viruses or malware. As far as background programs, the only thing which I have running aside from it is Discord. Nothing else seems to have spiked or anything. And this PC is only about two years old, and I've had this game on it for about maybe almost a year at the most. So it's weird that this has happened. I'm left with my fallback response for these situations. Re-validate the game files. Check for memory leaks. Check the hard drive for bad sectors the game may be on. All the standard "what is going on?!" checks.

I re-validated the games files, so we will see what happens. I already did do SFC and CHKDSK. Twice. Nothing comes up. Memory leak? Hard to say... First time it happened, I did run a Memory Diagnostic. Nothing. Update: Did another memory diagnostic scan... No known errors were found. Edited Thursday at 09:53 PM by RakaiThwei
