Do you still need to faction swap or can you roll anything on either side?

Game is downloading while I'm at work so I can't check this myself yet, but I really would like to know the answer to this. Want to toss a Mastermind onto the hero side but wasn't sure if I was going to need to do tips or praetoria first?

On character creation, after prompting for tutorial it asks which faction as well

Epic Archetypes (Kheldians and Arachnos) must start on the corresponding side. Everything else, go to town.
