  1. This burning thru 60 or more converters to get the same 2 back n forth has got to stop!! BULLSHIT!! I say!!!

     

    I mean C'MON!!! There's ONLY 6 in each set!!... shouldn't it go thru the whole set BEFORE it starts repeating?!?!?

    OK,  Long time reader first time poster here...

    HESS TF... one of my favorites!  I like it because it's NOT automatic,  you gotta unlock it with Lars arc.  But may I suggest that it be extended a couple more missions... Say, where it usually ends by defeating him (Burkholder),  why not (like with Clamor in Yin!) Have him manage to get away, and THEN release the giant mech for a zone wide battle (ie: Babbage in Skyway with the Synapse) that allows Hess (Burkholder) to escape again where the team that spawned it has to finish him off in a final mission to complete the TF...

    Whacha think? would it be doable?  I just think it would be cool....

  3. ..but the "kill-shot" used to be a big deal... now however,  I don't think it means anything.  But still, I remember getting the "You have defeated Hamidon" message seemed so cool!  Now it's with the Monsters and banners...  Oh and DoT for the win!!

    As for explaining what a TF is to team mates before hand..sure that works, but as App says..some people get pissy about that too!

     

    Suggestions

    As is, a task force only gives info to the team leader, being the contact text and LFG info (which is VERY vague, other than 'challenging), so if a person does not know the TF, they really have no clue whats going on. Make every tf start with a pop up (think SBB: role explained) that goes to every member, with at least some outline of what is going on (highlighting that quitting mid tf means you cant come back and no reward) and perhaps some description of the tough bits.

    That description would be great for the less meh/babysteps tfs (ie: just about all the TFC ones), because there are a few that end with relatively crazy (crazy for new players) fights. I remember doing a Renault way way back when I started on CoV. We spent almost 3 hours on it, and failed. We had 2 MMs, and they were next to useless on that last fight, with the water spouts bouncing everyone all over. A fight like that, that basically renders an entire AT useless, is just a load of rubbish. Dont get me wrong, that fight IS epic, as are many of the redside SF battles. but if I was a new player on an MM, and ended up doing that..

     

    While on a TF, UNLESS it's the first time your toon has run it,  I'd like to see an end to the "call contact... ask about available missions,  and then selecting it"   I mean, C'mon!  It's a TF!  You can't choose any different mission than the next one... why do I have to CLICK on it to choose it?  True,  there's the story line and dialogue that ONLY the leader can see and read,  BUT if it's the umpteenth time you've run it why do you have to do it?  It should be readily available and waypointed as you finish the prior mission... 'specially if you've already done it once on that toon!  Maybe an option at the begining to op out of the extra 2 clix to continue?

    I like fast xp and high inf rewards as much as anyone, but at a certain point it gets really, really old running the same thing over and over, especially for altaholics like me. I see so many people in the 20-30 range that haven't figured out how to manage their knockback, and today I had a group where our Brute, who was level 20 something, did not have his taunt aura or Taunt (The latter of which is excusable on a Brute, but the former of which is not, even if you don't intend to tank, because it's generally one of your best defensive powers), and after we'd been struggling with a Freakshow mission with several wipes, about halfway through it, he asks the group "How do you get enhancements?".

    Really??  I find so many lvl 50 AE babies that have NO Idea how to play them... sheesh!  But yet there the first to post online or forums about their newest 50!

    The Admiral Sutter TF is a nightmare to solo, you want to pull one of the Durays away from the other, but it's pretty hard. Apex and Tin Mage were both a lot easier (pulling Bobcat is possible, though you have to pull her 3 times, once each to have her call for the big robots and then again to finish her off).

     

    Can the Diabolique trial be soloed? How about the Summer Block Buster? I haven't yet tried either of those.

     

    One mission that's way harder than most of the TF missions is the one featuring the Jade Spider... still haven't succeeded at that one, though I think it may just be a matter of figuring out the cone angle for the Psy Scream... stay out of it and let it focus on the PA, and win. Get into it, and get disintegrated fast.

     

  7. oooo... okay, follow up question... Is it still "soloing" if I triple box?  I did this with the Dr.Q TF... took +22hrs!  'course there was about 8 hrs of sleep in there as well as a few hrs of eating and other breaks... but it was VERY do-able... just time consuming.  Why?  Well I felt better dragging 2 support characters along for the ride to do it ONCE instead of running it three separate times... and the payoff for all three turned out to be very profitable!!  Thoughts?

    That said, I think you are safe. I very highly doubt the devs would make that change. So no need to worry 😉

    Why does he have to throw his pistols flipping over his head BEFORE he shoots..?  doesn't make sense to me....

    Is it a keystone? A fortress of some kind?  A big concrete block?  I can get most of these, but this one confuses me.

Has everyone tried this?  I've been working on it since HC started and allows it to be.  My main toon to do this with is my Fire/Fire Tank... for obvious reasons.  There's no time limits being set here, though I have Hess down to 26 min or so.  But I've also solo'd on my blaster and sentinel.  Hey I'm taking EVERY advantage here I can... Shivans, PPD, Warwolves, even the expensive signatures... and then I'm running them at -1 and 1... hey, I DID say EVERY advantage!! So far Posi 1, Synapse, Hess, Moonfire, Citadel, Yin.  Those that I haven't cracked yet are Posi2 (dam vomit!) and Numina (Just could NOT do enough dmg quickly enuff to take down Jurrasic!)  I have yet to try Manti... So anyone else's thoughts?.. If you're doing it.  How have you faired?  Any tips or suggestions?... Oh I'm retired and a LOTTA time on my hands so much of the time these will take 3-4 hrs or longer... 'course I'm taking LOTS of breaks during that time as I'm in no hurry... I find it a nice way to kill time!

  11. Okay... before starting a TF the challenge menu offers the time challenges...  Is there any reason for doing this if not just for "bragging" rights?  Someone said there's badges... I have yet to find one if there is...  can someone fill in the blanks for me?
