  1. But... I'm still fishing! And have piles and piles to clean for the fish fry!

It's pretty amazing what we can do now. Thank you for all the help and I'm certain I'll have more questions now that the Tardis room is mostly done in Epoch. Specifically hiding storage racks because they aren't being nice to me but that's not what this thread is about.

The help videos, the base contests, the tours, the showcases... thank you for all the work. Maybe now your bases can be entered into some contests, because it's only fair.

ALL HAIL @Dacy and @Easter Bunny!!

Add all the long hairstyles that women have to the men.  The men are severely lacking in hairstyles.  Also potentially down the road allow hat and hair compatibility.

Also more long flowing outfit for men as well.  More longcoats, robes, etc.

Totally agree on more long hairstyles for men, and the hats. My husband can sit on his hair. Also more POC hairstyles for men from a Jheri curl to fades with patterns like a peace sign or lightning bolts.

Also, glove, shoulder, and back options for tattoos. Snakes, barbed wire, Mom/Mother, anchor, heart, sun, moon, eclipse, Eye of Horus, Ankh, Celtic weave, feather, dragon... some of the Tsoo options have tats, but they don't fit all characters. My Egyptian has many tattoos and though not all mentioned above would fit, one or two could represent. And she's not the only one I have with tats.

  3. In order:

    A. I need this.

    D. Not a need so much as a WAAAAANT. Especially some things like Yin's and Swan's costume parts, Seer costumes especially the belts and collars, and the Sybil loin cloths.

    C. I have a few characters this fits concept on.

    B. Don't use these as much, but might if we could.

And more POC hairstyles, please. Please please please.

time for my monthly ridiculous request that nobody needs.

#1 Can We get an option to either choose a different wing for each side? kinda like what they did for arms/shoulders

#2 If #1 isn't viable can we get the option to recolor each wing separately?

#3 Wing burst! can we get an option for wings to vanish/reappear when flying VS nonflying?

Yes for all of these. Assymetrical wings with options of different colors and on/off with flight.

  5. While I'd love more Praetorian stuff, what I really want/need are stand-alone walls and edging that matches the base editor designs like Arcane, Tech, Sewer, etc. It would make it easier to block off a large room into smaller ones, like on a ship (space or sailing) or an apartment complex. We only have a few actual walls, and none really work for higher tech areas, and they don't match well with the base/room design (brick walls do not match the brick of room design).

I'd also love cave walls instead of massive rocks. Maybe even just cave tunnel pieces (Orenbega, Council, and layer cake caves).

  6. I'd really like more Lore pets, specifically Devouring Earth. I have at least one character where DE is the most logical pick. Had to go Rularuu instead.

I do like the idea of Generic Minions, Vahz, and Undead/Vamps as well.

  7. Okay, this is something very much needed by those who build within the base as well as out...

Surface plates we can place on the exterior of the base. Preferrably matching the Styles of the base.

I don't want people staring into my base while flying outside.

If not that, then just the styles as surface plates we can use for floors, walls, ceilings, and trim.

  8. Yes, still need the lava surfaces.

Also Praetorian pieces I requested in an earlier post.

And additionally, I would deeply appreciate a starfield surface. While the Fireflies 2 critter FX does the job for still images, having my "stars" flickering around almost ruins the effect:

  9. I had this issue placing a tech platform (2x2 square one) set to vertical using Ctrl-Alt, grid disabled, and pushing the platform as close to the Arcane Brick pattern inside the base as possible. I worked hard getting the platforms set juuuuuuust in front of the brick as possible. Logged off for the night.

Logged in the next day and half of the platforms I had set were imbedded in the wall and flickering. I finally gave up and reworked the room. If I can find the time to try and duplicate it I will.

My original thought was that because I had the grid disabled, and having a hard time getting thecplatforms to line up (they have a top and bottom, but no middle, and the bounding box are wonky... can we get a surface with just the bottom of the platform?) that perhaps they were sitting on a partial pixel/grid point and when logging they "reset" to a whole point. I know the grid resets every time (so if you have it disabled and log out, when you log back in the grid snap is set back to 1).

If not coherent, I blame lack of coffee. Just woke up.

  10. So this base of mine is still a work in progress but its at a stage where I don't mind sharing some pics. Once its really done I'll post the base passcode so anyone can visit and have a look around!

So here's your sneak peak at the Starlight Corporation's M.O.R.A. - Mobile Observatory & Research Array. The concept behind this was a mobile facility that could research various stellar phenomena. In this case the M.O.R.A is currently exploring the depths of a nebula. That picture on the wall. Where is it? I can't find it in the editor. I like it a lot.

  11. This was on the Original Game live, and I'd love to see this fixed.

Under "Ceiling Walls," Sewer and Dingy are identical and Industrial and Factory are identical. I would think Dingy is more like the smaller bricks shown on the walls here which are Dingy and Dingy 2, and what is showing under Industrial is really Factory. See pictures below.

While we're on Base Styles, I'd also completely adore getting some of the wall styles as tintable surface plates.  ;D

Showing the walls on the right as Dingy, Dingy 2, and Dingy 3, and the top left Ceiling Walls as Dingy, but they look like Sewer.

Showing the Industrial walls on the right, and Industrial Ceiling Walls on the top left looks like Factory.

  12. Something to remember that Leandro and Wolf mentioned in the twitch feed is that some items may seem reasonably sized when you're in the missions, but when you try to put them in a base, they are ginormous.

    Scaling is a weird thing.

Still, some of those things are pretty cool, and would definitely provide more theme/color/texture variations.

Yup, but we don't know unless we ask. ^_^

    *snip*

I do have a couple suggestions, though.  One is that the costume pieces be alphabetized.  It's a little daunting looking for some pieces now in the huge lists, and harder still because some things appear to be placed in a based on when they were added to the game while others seem to be randomly placed.  And I feel like some pieces need to be renamed...  for example, under female options, tops we have "Mod Sleeve" option but the matching bottom piece is called "Holes".  Likewise, under tights for tops and bottoms for standard tights, it's just Tights or Tights Smooth, but for gloves it's "Full" and "Tights Sleek".  Even the boots match the "Tights" and "Tights Sleek" naming convention, but not gloves.

While I fully support this, it would break everyone's costume. Currently the costumes are as they are because the creator looks for where the piece is located in the list. If things get moved to alphabetize or rename, it will cause everyone to have to redo all their costumes. Some of my characters have large wardrobes. Just giving one or two Free Icon costume change tokens won't be enough if I have 25 costumes on one character to fix. It would make things so much easier, but the coding behind fixing it would be nightmarish.

  14. In the past we used to use desks. While these showed top and bottom, there are 32 desks per floor tile (or large brick plate), or 2 per floor plate (as named under Surfaces). You're better off using the flooring under Surfaces if you're looking to reduce the number of items.

You can also use the Very Large Brick Plate for ceilings with the Wood Floor for the floor above, or vice versa.
