  1. Hello everyone!

     

    I have not been on Homecoming in a while (pre tanker changes, TW changes, power proliferation etc.) and have been curious as to the changes and want to come back as a tanker after making multiple scrapper/stalkers originally.

     

    I'm working on an Inv/TW build to solo +4x8 endgame content and function in teams without swapping between a solo setup and group setup but I'm running into a few problems after racking my brain trying to figure out how to make it work.

     

    In order of importance:

    1.  My global recharge is not high enough to sustain perma-hasten (even with ageless) while frankenslotting my attacks for procs/desired set bonuses to push resists close to cap.  After changes, does TW do enough damage to forego proccing and chase full sets to achieve perma-haste?  Currently, I cannot sustain an attack chain in the golden window for momentum.  Trying to figure out how to balance this between playable, dealing decent damage, and remaining incredibly tanky in solo content.

    2.  In the new content, is chasing 70+% resist and 45% def softcap worth it?  What does incoming damage look like and have I shot myself in the foot making myself TOO tanky for the content while nerfing my damage?  Also on the subject of new content, 90% of the time I played before it was an AoE fest which is why I put my baseline at 5 targets surrounding for the sliding scale powers.  I don't plan on soloing AVs with this but I also want to make sure I'm survivable ST if that's what new content is geared towards.

    3.  I know TW is pretty end hungry but I did overkill?  I don't want to be required to carry blues but between procs and natural recov I might have overthought this topic.

    4.  Although this is an end-game focused build I want the option to exemp down and have not taken many of the early attacks.  This is something I largely ignored previously in favor of doing wacky things like solo farming AVs on stalkers.  Any advice on exemp-ability for this setup?

     

    As a sidenote, I have a few billion inf saved from the last time I played so cost is not an issue.

  2. This is my first time working on a /regen and I'd like some input on defenses and playability.  I have a decent mix of defense/res but focused on +healing.  Is this enough to survive most content at +4?  (Note:  Shadow Meld is at a roughly 60% uptime but seems like it would be a hassle to keep up with unless I mix in some autocast scripting into the ST/AoE rotation any better suggestions are encouraged)

  3. I've tweaked the build to find less defense but a lot more res.  One of the things I did not consider was the repel aspect of Hurricane and instead thought of it as a PBAOE -tohit.  After playing with the character in question I can see why that just wouldn't work.  I understand the utility behind Hurricane but ultimately decided to drop it in favor picking up one more power choice to net me Soul Drain in Dark Mastery.  I'd consider it slightly less tanky but the tradeoff is much, much more damage.

  4. Thanks for the insight!  This is my first time attempting both a storm and an ice build so some of the nuances around proc chances and the damage on some powers were lost on me.  I'll take your suggestions into account and make some adjustments accordingly. 

     

    Do you think it would be a good idea to drop Ice Bolt entirely?  I was mostly using it as a mule for more +def set bonuses as I know with the recharge my ST chain would mostly consist of BiB/IB. 

     

    Would you consider Hurricane a wasted slot?  My line of logic was using the -tohit and knockdowns from Sudden Acceleration with my defenses to avoid most incoming damage while soft controlling herds in farms and large pulls in TFs. 

     

    Also, for Steamy Mist do you have better slotting suggestions?  It kinda seems +def isn't the best route of getting the most out of this power.

  5. Hello everyone!

     

    I was looking to accomplish a couple things with this build.

     

    1.  Excellent team support for both farming runs and trails/tfs in the form of near constant knockdowns and slows

    2.  Personal DPS contribution with reasonable survivability

     

    After some tweaking, I feel like this strikes a good mix and ticks all the boxes I was looking for.  This build is slated to be rather end-game focused and thus needs those incarnates to a decent level.  I'm aware the build suffers without those powers active.

     

    I'd now like to open it up to the community to pick it apart and let me know if there is anything glaring that I may have missed as I am relatively new to making builds.
