This is one of my Favoreite characters and pretty much one of the only ones that I decided to get T4 Incarnate across the board

    Overdrive

    Electric Blast/Electric Armor/Electricity Mastery Senitel

    Level 50

    Excelsior Server

    Group Affiliations: Titans Reunited, GIFT

    Background

From childhood Arthur Ames suffered from constant spasms and seizures. As he approached puberty he was also seemed to develop a type of ADHD. His mind was always moving, he was constantly active, running around, and had trouble sleeping. Then one day Arthur while at home with his parents, he released a pulse of energy that knocked out every electrical system in the house. His parents took him to GIFT and they discovered that Arthur was a metahuman that drew enegry from an unknown force that seemed to focus on energy and velocity. This force which Arthur dubbed "The Juice" increased his speed, reaction time, thought processes, and even his healing Factor. Arthur can run at incredible speeds. He is one of fastest heroes every tested by GIFT.  In addition the constant influx of energy has increased the electical charge in Arthur's body allowing him to create and even absorb electrical attacks.

One of Arthur's primary powers is the ability to drain energy from almost any source; in effect he is a walking EMP. He can shut down any electrical current in his vicininty which includes the electrical pulses in living beings. He can also draw that energy into himself to aid his own recovery and even heal damage to his person by causing his cells to regenerate at an accelrated rate. In addition Arthur is also highly resistant to energy based attacks. Lately he has found that he can even "Juice" others boosting their speed and recovery. Arthur now works with GIFT as the hero " Overdrive".

My main is also an E3 Sentinel. Arc Havoc. Amazing toon. Tough. Good damage. Unreal sapper. Mobs just stand there blinking at me. Never understood the malaise around Sentinels. Yes, they are not UBER damage or Defence. They sure are fun though.

This is the pentultimate minmaxer team comp that is used by all minmaxers usually unless special runs are on the table:

    5 corrs

    2 blasters

    tank type.

    3 cold corrs

    1 kin 1 nature

    1 Ice/Fire 1 Fire/Fire

    Bio/Axe tank.

If you want the closest to objective best team comp for content, this is it(I would say this is THE objective best tbh but thats no fun and I wanna see what other comps are like)

Interesting, why specifically a Bio/Axe Tank?

There's a display bug in the Staff powers that includes the extra damage from Fiery Embrace in the displayed total damage. This occurs on both Live and Brainstorm. You can see this if you compare the damage figure at the top of the screen to the damage details at the bottom. For example, Guarded Spin (live) shows 106.5, but when you look at the details it shows 6 ticks of 12.24 (73.44) plus 6 ticks of 5.51 (33.06) when using Fiery Embrace. (Note, the details for all the Fire attacks incorrectly label everything with Fiery Embrace, but the totals at the top appear to be correct.)

Damn. I’ll have to test that. Saw that when I was trolling around at Tank Secondaries. I got excited thinking I would finally roll a Staff tanker. So Sky Splitter isn’t doing any more damage?

Ive made multiple sappers of different ATs.

    Elec/Elec/Elec Blaster

    Elec/Elec Dominator

    Elec/Tim Corrputor

    Elec/Elec/Elec Sentintel

Hands down the Sentinel is the best of the bunch. The status protection is key in building a 'sapper' because the two core powers are PbAoE attacks so you are in melee range.

Both of the core " Sapping " Powers need to drain foes down are in your primary and secondary Short Circuit and Power Sink. Build in a decent amount of recharge so they can recharge quickly so you can spam them.  Use Ball Lightning liberally.

Add Chain Fences and LIghtning Field and the Preemptive Radial Power and you sill keep all but AV's end floored pretty well.

This. My Elec Sentinel floors mobs. I can run solo missions without my resistance toggles running and barely notice. GM’s, AV’s and such don’t really work without help. Don’t really focus on it on teams because mobs melt to quickly. My build isn’t “optimized” for drain either. Pretty decent damage. Great regen and recovery.  Fun toon. Something different than just SMASH!

Yeah.  I ignore most “hate speech” in games.  I am no john wick but there is very little chance some keyboard warrior is going to be an issue for me.  I am too old to run and too smart to fight fair.

    This ⬆️

Also, too smart to fight fair I believe. Too old? I thought vampires live, well, for a long time. Just saying.

The only time I've had any complaints was on my warshade and using Shadow Slip (fold space for normies). The tank "had a word" and I moved forward so I wasn't stealing his nicely herded mobs. I was basically bulldozing everything at the time. "Who's using fold space? Stop it!!".......... "Oops, my bad" "Oh it's you, carry on!!" 🙂

A well slotted warshade is a wonder to behold!!

One day, gotta get me a Warshade. And learn how to play one….

Yeah it was weird.  I was running a brute and doing normal brute madness.  The team leader got pissed.  But then anytime i was in game for a week ( i finally just went to excelsior) would send me tells or post comments anytime i used public channels.  Funny, like little dog trying to kill you funny…..

    Let the Brute…..well, Brute.

Why?  Because I missed you guys.  I like sharing my "wisdom" such as it is.

Where have I been?  Not far.  I game Fri and Sun Evenings with Justice Superteamers on Excelsior.  They run themed teams.  Excellent gamers.  I also run quite a bit solo.

My latest project?  An AR/Dev Blaster who is soloing every contact in the game.  Currently level 20, 789 badges.  According to city data terminal 624 missions completed, 2 failed.  753 merits, although i have 1221, which i assume the difference is giant monsters and zone badging, etc. enemies defeated 21,644.  theme is "little green army men" toon is Green Sarge on Excelsior.  yes, i shrank him with mini mode.  he is fun.  i think AR/Dev Blaster is probably one of the most efficient toons to do this type of project with.  i used to use Brutes.  yeesh.

Mostly I solo. although I have led a very few TF/SF.  The Posi One was...  a Posi One!  I held out zero hope of any coordination.  Much to my surprise, as we zone into the last mission a teammate (I am leading but saying very little) suggests we do not "rescue" the last hero until we clear around the front of city hall.  I get in team chat and say what a great idea this is.  i tell everyone what the plan is.  Then the shitheads saved everyone, the last guy was under the guy with one huge ball.  The pulled everyone AND two of them jumped to city hall front door immediately.  I ate inspirations, threw down caltrops, and thanked the stars I bought all the P2W grenades....   We made it.  Barely.  Oh, Posi One.  Always a weird run...

Interesting project with the AR blaster. You are turning off xp so you don’t outlevel your contacts ?

  9. Elec/Elec on Sentinels is awesome. I have two attack chains that floor whole enemy group’s endurance. A great hold. A great heal. Regen. Recovery. And decent resists. Baddies just stand there and blink at you while you pick them off.

Nemesis/5th Column/Council are the most evil.  The others just want to kill, corrupt or pervert everyone alive, but these bastards want everyone to be alive, going about their daily lives without interruption, but enslaved.  They want absolute control over everyone's actions, and even thoughts, but they want them to be aware that they're not in control, that they're pawns, that they exist solely at the whim and for the purpose of serving their masters.

Subjugation, on every level, is their goal.  The utter and complete abolition of freedom.

    There is no greater evil.

    Let’s get em!

I don’t have a build handy, but Staff/Dark is a great combo both thematically and practically. Using Staff’s Form that reduces endurance costs helps while leveling the very end hungry /Dark. Plus the +Def from Guarded Spin is always welcomed on a mostly-resistance set.

I was considering rolling this combo on a Tanker soon to take advantage of the new AoE changes. If I get a chance later, I’ll try to make a build for a Scrapper.

Don’t do it. I have a 50 Dark/Staff Tanker. IO’d out very well and Alpha slotted. Amazing survivability. It feels like I am hitting baddies with a toothpick though. Anemic damage. Rolled a Shield/Street Justice tank. Amazing defence and offence. Having said that I love the them and now am wondering if I should try the combo on a Scrapper lol.

The Sheld part i have been Maining since october, so i know for a fact thats solid as a rock.  I have an electric melee stalker so im pretty sure i covered your bases on that to, in fact i may roll a tank like this just to see how it does.

    Hope this helps.

I am thinking of starting a Shield tank (was also thinking Rad but I love AAO and Shield Charge on my stalker) but can’t make up my mind on a secondary. What are you running for a secondary on your main? Leaning towards Dark. Not much aoe but extra -Tohit and Soul Drain. Thx

One or two force feedbac'ss max, as it means less damage procs being slotted into your actual attacks.

Crowd control is a good option for force feedback.

Most sets can be capped at (5) as that's where the biggest bonus (+10% recharge) are attained.

I'd personally try to squeeze in a full reactive armor if you can, as well as a full preventative medicine in your heal.

    I also like a panacea 5 set.

That's 3 sets that give big recharge, which is crucial for minimizing attack powers for a smooth attack chain.

PS. Whirling mace is absolute balls.

    “Whirling mace is absolute balls”

this is good? Asking for a friend who just rolled a War Mace/Bio Scrapper 😉
