  2. Battle Axe on F tier not even close. Almost every attack in the set provides KD, which is HUGE mitigation. And it comes with the possibility of slapping FF proc in several attacks. Which is insanely good by itself, especially with a secondary like SD which likes high recharge. If only it had the same treatment as War Mace with Clobber, it would be S tier by far.

  3. In my mind, the br00t is a...brutal juggernaut who drives you to a slow, painful and unavoidable defeat. As opposite to scrapper who just tears you apart quickly and surgical. I know, in certain sets it can just be the opposite, but that's just me.

     

    With that in mind, my rad/dark br00t is EXACTLY like that: slow, miserable, unrelenting death by procs, two damage auras and punching in the face. While laughing maniacally, of course.

  6. There's something off over here.

    Every armor set has his weaknesses, holes, something that you can adjust somehow with IOs, incarnates...and smart playing.

    Psi hole, one of the eldest. Or DA without Kb protection, or SD with no end management and no heal. Let's say none of these holes makes a set unplayable. Everything is playable AND enjoyable.

    Given that smart playing is a feature not included in the game, everything else seems pretty balanced, with some sets slightly "better" than others based on the game situation.

     

    Maybe it's just me, but I can't find any weakness in RA. And no, cold resistance is not, even in a map full of cold damage critters.

    I mean, I can play this toon without even looking what's happening on the screen and mashing random buttons. Ok, a bit exxagerated, but still.

    1k+ absorb? Sheesh. How anything outside 802.x's is supposed to kill me?

    How big and orange are you?

     

    Need an advice, folks. I am fascinated by the focus mechanic, but cannot ignore the grace of a shoryuken-ish crushing uppercut right in the teeth with max combo level or the pure sheer ignorance of clobbering away. Which path would you choose?

    Am I missing something? That's a pretty impressive arsenal.

  9. I'm in the process of re-create all the classic CoH builds, and suddenly went for a super classic D3 def. Oh boy. If only all the oldest sets were so magistrally made like Dark Miasma and with so many sinergies with Dark Blast and the epic pool. This is like a mini controller-defender-blaster all-in-one jack of all trades. Great for soloing, much greater for teaming, close to unkillable in almost every situation. A glorious -to hit debuff feast, which I exasperated with diamagnetic and void incarnates and some proc here and there.

     

    It aged so well it looks like it was made yesterday to impress the players.

  10. Hello fellow leaders of little armies. I'm working toward a bots/traps guy with whom I wanna hunt AVs and hard content down. Came up with a pretty good build, with all positional capped and hardcapped s/l res, with a fair rech to have my precious goodies - mainly PT and AM - in the 25 sec area. Now I only have a dilemma: do I absolutely need Provoke? Will it make a difference later on to draw aggro off my pets? Or should I take Assault for more dmg and never look back?
