    I said goth, not Goth.

New character: “The goth Goth” Dark/shield stalker with an undead barbarian look. History “I was there when Rome burned, but it all seems so pointless now. You look tasty though.”

  2. Just a heads up to keep an eye on the looking for group channel, because I’ve seen quite a few “rp mission team looking for more” posts and that’s a great way to meet people if you’re new.

    Also, welcome home.

Where did all the vampires go

And where are all the goths?

    Where's the hot nosferatu

    Wrapped in his tattered cloths?

    Isn't there a ventrue

Who wants to drink my blood?

    Or perhaps a cute fishmalk

    Or an emo brujah stud....

If you’re supposedly a goth, where were you when the rest of us were sacking Rome?

  4. Like everyone where I live I’m mixed. My father’s father’s side of the family are from Verona and his mother’s family owned their winery since before the empire was a thing.

from my mom I get Hungarian Roma and Scots-Irish from Dal Riatta (basically modern day Argyle).

The hero Tutorial is where you can get the Isolator badge for defeating 100 of the contaminated.   You can also get it during the Ouroborus Intro arc if you are Hero/Vigilante

Breakout Tutorial for redside contains the Jailbird map badge. Any subsequent missions that take you back to this map will not give that badge. But teh redside ouro intro arc should send you back to get it.

Avid Reader is from the Praetorian Tutorial, if you aren't Praetorian of origin, then become an incarnate, go through an incarnate trial and then chat with Prometheus until the badge dings.

Efficiency Expert Pither: his timed missions are NOT in Ouroborus and never have been.  You have to get him as a Grandville contact and succeed at all the timed missions he offers.  See my thread in this forum regarding that.

Thanks, that's very helpful! I thought there were more exclusive badges it's good to know there's a path to them.

  6. My search fu is very weak, and I could not find an answer to this. Have the missions been disabled and is there a way to unlock the last three costume slots? When my friend and I tried the mission from Serge neither of us got a slot unlocked.

What about the Praetorian tutorial badge, is that accessable by a Primal?

Arent there badges in all of the tutorials that are mutually exclusive? Like the big shivan in the galaxy tutorial.

There's a community of us that get together with @Positivegamer on youtube. The people are just amazing and we all support each other. We range from new players, old-timers, teenagers to retirees. There's no judgement on the channel just fun and support. I highly recommend coming to one of his streams or jumping into the discord group. We do constant events, raids, badge hunts etc.. and play on Excelsior. I have never had as much playing this game than with group of people.

On Everlasting I stick with people from the CapeRadio and it is similar. lots of friendly support and team activities.

I hope every server has at least one such group.

50 merits equals 150 converters that you can sell for 90K Inf each.

150 converters times 90K Inf equals 13,500,000 (minus fees)

You can buy 2 LoTGs for this amount

If you use 50 merits to buy one LoTG recipe you will be losing money

It seems to me you are better off with using merits for converters to either sell or use on enhancements

there is a lot of volitility in the market. when I posted gamblers were way up and converters down. last night unslotters were going for 195k at 2/merit versus converters at 81k at 3/merit making unslotters the better deal.

It is something that you can jump on the opportunities as they appear, or you can just post converters and be patient.

  10. My favorite was dark/dark/leviathan (whirlpool with -res). Will never be popular, will never be OP, but was a lot of fun, worked at all content, including master of runs and the hardest incarnate badging attempts.

/dark is like an onion, you get lots of layers. def, res, heal, -tohit, fears... you get it all. Nothing is overwhelming or inately maxxed out, but it was very reliable against every enemy type. Sappers, furies, ppd, cimerorans, rikti magus/heavies, carnies, incarnates, etc.

I imagine no one will ever play it these days because it can't farm +4/x8 solo. But speaking as one who enjoys actual missions and story arcs in teams, this was the most fun I ever had with a stalker.

  11. So in chat channels I show up with the name of the first character I made on a given server. Same when someone adds me as a global friend. That is not my actual global handle, nor is it my first character since I swapped servers. Is there any way to change that name so it is something my friends will recognize?

The picture doesn't show up on mobile.  What thing is everyone talking about here that could be big?

A tweet from tony v and the homecoming devs that the negotiations with NC Soft about gaining official status are going good.

Means we might not have to worry about losing the game again.

  13. I think some of the differences between brute, scrapper, and stalker have been over simplified so let me start there, because I think a little more info might help you.

Brutes have a mechanic called rage which means the more you hit and get hit the more damage you do. If you stand around waiting or resting, your rage will diminish and you have to build it up again. So brutes are best if you want to keep smashing and smashing like a tireless engine of destruction. Brutes also have mechanics to gather aggro which means in a group more enemies will be hitting you.

Scrappers have high chances to crit for bonus damage. This means they are more steady damage if you start and stop a lot since they don't have rage to worry about. And sometimes you get surprised by a hugely damaging crit which is a lot of fun. Scrapper players are famous for a mentality known as "scrapperlock" where they lose track of strategy and keep hitting things when they should maybe back off and rest. Meaning they act a little too much like a brute hehe.

Stalkers are like your cyborg with therm-optic camouflage. They go invisible and get to do double damage with a single massive blow from invisibility. Called assassin strike. They also get crits like a scrapper, but are squishier. Stalkers can also exit combat if they need to and rehide. So they are beat if you like to be careful and pick and choose your kills.

To describe the other two mentioned, a fortuna is based on elite troops from Arachnos who combine psychic abilities with melee attacks. They are fast and deadly, and all the npcs are female but you can make a guy if you want and don't have to be allied to Arachnos if you don't want to.

Blappers are super squishy. they are supposed to shoot at range which is why they are squishy, but you melee instead. These can do insane damage, but you will get knocked out more often than the other archetypes.

On powers, all the weapon sets have technology options. like there is a mace with a rocket in back that propels it into enemies, and one with a shell of hexagonal plates held together by energy. There are light sabers, energy blades, buster swords, force field axes, claws, etc. If you like punching and hitting you have four options: traditional martial arts, kinetic combat (has energy fields around your fists as you do fancy moves and project the energy a short distance), street justice which is less elegant and more brute force punching and hitting, then savage melee which is clawing and tearing to cause bleed effects. Then you have the energy or elemental styles like fire, ice, elecrticity or radiation, these can all come from your cyborg tech easily.

My own cyborg is a stalker (street justice/energy armor). I use teleport for my travel power.

Nope, for sure still works, I've got a couple chars that use it.

Added note: male skeletons you can barely make shorter, female you can make quite a lot shorter.

Then clearly I'm doing something wrong.

First costume is height scale 36. save it, change to 22 then load into costume slot 2. when i swap from costume 1 to costume 2 I'm still the same height.

If we want Omega to live up to the hype, it should enable the "I WIN" button.  When pressed, it displays the message "Congratulations! You win!" and plays some credits.

only against current content. Per the AMAs the omega content was supposedly going to mostly be us getting curb stomped by battalion until dream doctor pulls a hail mary with Rularuu and we banish them out of the dimension forever.

Then the post battalion was Prometheus turning on us for outgrowing him plus rogue dimensionless that make battalion look like wimps.

As Sunsette said above, it stopped being about superheroes and more gods. But it also always was intended to have enemies that are stronger than the players at each step.
