I have 52 characters all in one SG. I use another account to add them.
There is a command to add your own alts. /altinvite [character name] will add the named toon to the SG you are in.

Please stay on the topic of the thread.
Is this meant to be funny? Because you missed by a mile.

Do people routinely respond to the first post without actually reading the thread, or is it just this post?
(honestly asking about *these* forums, I know how Reddit is already)

1. That's not an intentionally stupidly high bid, that's someone attempting to type 2,000,000 (i.e. the same price as the rest of the set) and accidentally adding an extra 0.
Nope. As I already posted above, in this exact scenario I literally paid 20mil on purpose... after trying 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3...19.5mil and getting nowhere. Yes, I was being impatient as heck - but I have inf to burn and was honestly curious how high I'd have to bid to finally get the IO! What's odd, to me, is that after my single purchase at 20mil the next few were back to normal prices... despite the available pool of IOs shrinking. Guessing some serious server lag is to blame.

I was just purchasing the "Hypersonic" flight IO set off the AH. As per my usual purchasing method, I bid 100,000 inf over the highest recent sell prices that are shown. In this case, the first three enhancements showed "recent" prices of 2,000,000, so I bid 2,100,000 for each one, and received them almost instantly.
Then I got to the fourth enhancement of the set, and glanced at the "recent" prices: Two sales for 1,000,000, two sales for 1,500,000 ... and one sale for a whopping 20,000,000 inf.
Well, I'm certainly not paying that much, so just bid 2,100,000 again, which was well over the other recent prices.
And then I waited. And waited. And waited. The AH still hadn't sold it to me by the time I logged out.
As I said at the beginning, this is not the first time I've seen this happen. An item showing one successful bid that is grossly higher than, and out of line with, all of the others, and it takes forever for my purchase to go through when my bid is lower than that one ridiculous bid.
So what's happening here? Is it the AH seeing that one person--possibly accidentally--severely over-bid, and deciding for itself that anything less than that bid should have to wait a while? Or are subsequent sellers looking at the outlier and deciding that they should now charge that much?
EDIT: Actually raised my bid to 3,100,000 before I logged out. Logged in again after I posted this, and still hadn't gotten it.
LOL, that was me. It was not an accident, I literally kept increasing my bid by 500k at a time, until I finally got the dang IO I needed. Yes, I was waiting a few minutes here and there, in case the system was lagging. No idea WHY the damn thing cost 20mil in the end! Even worse, a few hours later an older bid for 2mil finally popped. I relisted that at cost.

you folks know this ain't a reddit forum, right?
Mate, I have a few tabs of these forums open in the same Firefox window as a few tabs of Reddit... if it wasn't for the different formatting, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

We do have freedom of speech still.
You absolutely, 100%, do NOT have freedom of speech here on a privately run forum with rules you agreed to upon creating an account.

If you are a long term player that is just happy as hell, like I am, that the game still EXISTS in any form at all....HI!

For some people it has already reached that point. And for those that it has, they don't post or play anymore. But I doubt the empathy or even interest from some present. In fact, I expect some to be happy about it.
Except for the people who "stopped playing" and go as far as changing their sig to let everyone know "they're out of here" yet still post here constantly? Those people? I have a hard time believing *anyone* really quits.

1) Fix the listings so I don't have to bid 1 and then look to see the bid history.
For the love of Paragon, this! Please!

I had the exact same thing happen just yesterday! Everything ground to a crawl, had to open task manager and found that Firefox was using over 20 gigs of RAM! Started closing windows (I use multiple windows of groups of related tabs to organize) one by one and as soon as I closed the one with these forums and the wiki everything returned to normal.

When you Solo something you solo it. One character. Not with a second character from a second account. That's a duo.
Damn right!
I've only soloed a few of the TFs so far, and a few GMs, but when *I* say I soloed something I mean with ONE character working alone!

You only do well in being able to outfit characters in this game if you have an outfitted 50 or better yet an outfitted idealized farmer, and you understand the system, as in how to leverage what you have on the market or build that farmer who can rake in millions per minute
Respectfully disagree. Just by casually playing the market *as I leveled up* my very first character was fully kitted out with set IOs well before level 50, and fully ready to swap in purples/catalyze ATOs when he finally dinged 50. Yes, since then he has made my other alts lives easier - as in they rarely even bother with the market - but it's certainly doable as you level up.

@Galactron, chiming in - too many alts to list them all, but I mostly played Galactron and Utahraptor as a member of The Galactic Defenders.
Bishop Creed, have you found your way home yet?

I'm not OP, but I'm totally nabbing this for inspiration. I feel some sort of mid-80s Marvel holiday issue Wolverine parody coming on...
