Can someone maybe just stick the beam rifle to your head and make it invisible? BOOM - Laser Eyes power set.

There definitely should be a "Global" category of badges that, once earned, are tied to your account. SMART vendor could "sell" an item to unlock them all upon purchase (akin to Prestige runs). That way you don't get spammed with too many badges every time you drop into Atlas Park with a new alt -AND- you could always choose NOT to unlock them (for whatever reason).

I too was there back in the day doing my fair share of herding and nuking. The novelty wore off very fast and it became a torturously boring way to play CoH. I'm glad for the caps but I do think they need reviewed in places, because as mentioned, some powers become nigh-on useless and just feel bad to use. So no, no removing of the caps.

I too would like to see more options for "eye-beams". It's a fairly under utilised power style in CoX, and yes - while there will be plenty clones of the famous "X-Person" - those will eventually peter off as people make their own unique heroes. I see the odd "branded" hero/villain running around, and whilst some are well done many are not, and most of my favourite costumes/hero concepts are indeed unique to the person playing them - which is one of the things I have always loved most about CoX. More eye beams plz!

Just logging in right now and noticed another patch downloaded since yesterdays. Any notes on that?

*update* Well personally I've been able to install and play the game fine so far despite having over 30 rather suspect http links blocked by my AV software (you can see example in my screenshots) - so it makes me wonder what the reason for them were in the first place?

*update* - relaunched Tequila as I noticed it hadn't downloaded anything close to the estimated 5GB install. It's currently downloading files again but BitDefender is still flagging up many of these suspicious html link files.

As expected - tried to launch and greeted with an error.

As per title - I just created my account and began to install Homecoming via the Tequila installer, but there are currently a heck of a lot of files being blocked by BitDefender Anti-Virus software and I have doubts the install will work. Anyone in the know care to comment on this?
