I started playing several days after it first came out. I was the Favorite Local Gaming Store (FLGS) and it had some computers and someone was playing it. He was a gun toting blaster and he was only level 2 and jumped over a wall and a Higher level Clockwork mob dropped him in one shot. I was sold right there and I went out and got the game the very next day. It was my very first MMO (WoW was my 2nd). Well I am back in the game and last night I created my first two new Heroes: Stormwillow - Electric/Energy Blaster (Blapper) Mister Klean - Super Strength/Invulnerability Brute Tonight I will be creating a Staff Scrapper I will probably spend a bit of time creating Heroes until I have around 4-5 and than I will go and level Stormwillow up.

Ah this was my prime server back in the day. Had quite a few Heroes on it as well.

Agreed. Did CoH not perform better than Champions or the DC MMO? And I'm sure they had way more marketing. Yes it most certain did do better than both Champions and DC Online. There is a reason why we are seeing 100's if not thousands of CoH fans playing this game again.

Well my very first Hero started out as an Electric/Electric Blaster. But as she leveled up she found that she had certain skills that meant she could bust Bosses faces in up close and personal. So she became a Blapper. When she got into 30+ level range she was on the lookout for large groups of bad guys since she knew that they would go down fast. She also love trolling for Bosses that were hanging out (love to bust those TV Head Bosses). Blappers were completely fun to play since as a Blaster you were super Squishy but you could really dish out some punishment. Oh and if you had a Controller Healer buddy tagging along you could take more risks. Drove my Controller buddy crazy since I would just jump into the middle of a group of Bad Guys and he would have to work on keeping me alive. Oh and while I might get dropped now and again and incur some debt I never had an issue with debt since I would just burn it off. So a call out to all you who love playing as a Blapper.

Well all of my many Heroes brought the farm when CoH World blew up back in 2012. So I will be rebuilding a few of them tonight.

City of Heroes was my very first MMORPG and love it from the first time that I got into it. Sure I went off and did WoW as well but I was able to play both with equal enjoyment. I do not remember what my old server was but my very first Hero was an Electric Blaster. But in reality she was a pure out and out Blapper, because Electric just had the skills to bust Villain Bosses along with destroying large groups. I use to drive my Defender buddy (Yellow Fever) crazy as we would grind large groups, since I would power up and turn on my Electric Field and jump right into the middle of a group and start blasting and blapping away. He would be busy keeping me alive if things went wrong (I.E. villain Controller) but we would run through group after group. But I have downloaded everything this morning and was in the process of creating my new Hero but I expect to be back in the game tonight.
