Yes, since then you could have a different set of mission arcs. Since I like to create characters to get a feel of the power set doing the same stuff over and over again well you know what is going to happen.

Keeping your Enhancements up to date is a pain since you will quickly out level them. So levels 10 - 35 are a major pain but it does get better since you will start to earn more once you get into your 30's. But yes you could just use the lower level Enhancements until you get to around 40 but soloing will become painful. Also take missions that align to your power so that you can save some money by equipping drops.

My first memory of City of Heroes was before I even got the game. I was watching another individual playing the game and at Level 2 he decided to run off and jump over a Wall in Atlas Park and the Level 6 Chockworks drop him half way over the wall. He never knew what hit him. I then went out and got the Game, which was the very first MMO that I ever played.

Well I can talk somewhat on Darkness/Time since mine impress me from an early level (when you are low level and having to fight 9-10 mobs due to set of mobs respawning right next to you and you put them all down) there is some potential. Plus you do also get a big and nasty pet at level 32. You do need to slot some recharge Enhancements since you want your powers back up quickly. Darkness has lots of holds and Time does come with a Heal along with some buffing ability. Mine is still only in her teens but I expect that once she gets up into her 30's she will be a great character for soloing.

I also went with Beam Rifle/Willpower for my Sentinel as well. Longbow Prime - He is the one of the Leaders of the Longbow organization and due to his Natural abilities is how he got there. Damage is okay and since he is only Level 15 right now he still needs to upgrade his enhancements but being at that level means it takes time to get the money. But I can put down White Minion's in 3 shots with what he has now.

Thanks, Oh and I did stop by the P2W Vendor and pick up the Staff so that does gave an additional attack power that has knock back as well. I did pick up Possess last night and was seeing what it would do on a few missions. Next Power will probably be Fearsome Stare.

Well Time slows down their attacks which is important and I do have the AoE Slow and Healing Powers so far. Both have two slots with each having Slow and Heal per their Power. The AoE Slow works only against those who get two close which is important since if you are fighting a group of mobs some will get close.

Okay I created a Darkness/Time Controller and she impressed me at an early level. She is currently approaching level 10 so she only has a very few things to work with right now along with a Travel Power (Flight). So currently she uses; Shadowy Binds & Dark Grasp along with Brawl (she is a Controller and well Damage is not her thing just yet), both have four slots. Shadowy Binds: Damage, Recharge, Damage, Accuracy Dark Grasp: Damage, Recharge, Hold, Accuracy So far I have passed on Living Shadows but will be picking up Possess and have been debating on going with Fighting since having something else that deals damage might be good. So any other tips?

Come on you should know better than to create a Hero and use a name from either DC or Marvel.

I created a Dark/Time Controller yesterday and even at level 2 she amazed me since she went after a group of Hellions with only her first two powers and Brawl. What amazed me was that a 2nd group of Hellions respawned right behind her so a total of 9 Mobs and she put them all down. Since then she has gotten her heal power along with a few others. With a Controller it is all about how you slot your powers. After that first big fight and I got the extra two slots I filled both of them with Recharge Enhancements since it is more important right now that these powers are available to use. I know which Hero I will be playing when I get home tonight since I want to get her leveled up.

I remember back 20 plus years ago when I first played "Doom". Thought I was catching the Flu since I was not feeling all that well. Stopped playing and got better. I realized that it was the game that was doing it and which I do not play in first person. I have even had this happen when watching videos of others playing in first person.

That is because you can play your character the way you want to play it. You get six slots per power and depending on what you want you could go all Damage or you can change it up somewhat by putting in additional range along with something else. My main is an Electric/Energy Blapper who plans on sucking Bosses dry and then smashing in their faces. But I know that later on she will also be able to punish large number of foes as well. Unlike WoW there is not one single best build.

Not really when I got back into the game the first Hero that I created was basically my old Main from 15 years ago. Sure she has a different name these days and went with Electric/Energy instead of her old Electric/Electric build, but she is still a Blapper. As for my 2nd he looks like my main Tank from all those years ago but today he is a Brute. I have others but the 3rd is totally new and the 4th is close to my old Fire Tank, though might reroll her since trying to get the right set of secondary powers. But once again I am loving this game and I am not trying to rush to level 50, sure I will group up and gain some levels quickly but I like doing the missions.

When I stated that City of Heroes was my first MMO I mean that I first played it back in 2004. So I would also be a Former CoH player as well.

Okay City of Heroes was the first MMO that I ever played and only WoW got me away from it. But still I did play it for years. When it ended I did try playing Champions but got bored with it and could never get a Hero much past 20. But in CoH I got my main up to level 50 and played her for quite awhile. She was an Electric/Electric/Electric Blaster who really prefer playing as a Blapper. Got back into the game and I have recreated her but this time she is an Electric/Energy Blaster/Blapper this time. I also tried DC Universe Online as well but like Champions it want money in order to get the great costumes and powers. CoH character creation was and will always be the greatest one ever for a MMO, I found that the one for Champions was okay but CoH will always be my favorite. Players did not end up with cookie cutter builds since there were so many ways to come up with a character due to how you slot or power choices. Sure in CoH you start off slow but by the time you hit your 20's you are getting your hero set for later. My Blapper main was a Boss killer and love to jumped into large groups as well due to her choices of powers. There is a reason why so many individual are back in this game because they love it. If this was Champions that came back you would not have seen this result with it.

Not sure about PvP but Electric Blasters can drain Bosses very quickly. Back in the initial game my main was an Electric/Electric Blaster/Blapper. Today she is an Electric/Energy Blaster/Blapper. But I think an Energy/Energy Blaster might be better for PvP because an Electric Blaster is not going to drain other players like they can Boss Mobs.

Yup just use some ice colors and they will look more like ice than fire.

Yes we all dread getting that first Trip to the Hospital since it means that the Bad Guys won. Oh and sooner than later it will happen. Well this morning while playing my Staff Scrapper, Major Freedom it happen. Just got done doing a mission against the Clockwork and sure he was sitting on two Train ups. But there they were just trying to mug someone in the parking lot, a group of Skulls. Sure they were all Yellow, Orange and Red and there were six of them but Major Freedom decided to go in and bust some heads. Instead what happened was him getting taking a double round of buckshot and the next thing he knows he is waking up in the Hospital. I knew I should have pass these guys since they were Yellow and Higher but if you are not willing to take chances why be a Hero.

Now if they can fix the Lost Connection to Map Server issue. Waited nearly 90+ minutes in the queue get in the game and play for like 12 minutes and lost Map Server Connection and get bounce right on out. Queue was 544 of 544. Log off for the night since that is another hour plus wait.
