The Angels of Avalon
Angels of Avalon is an “All Female Character (Challenge Type) Super Group” on the Excelsior Server.
There are limitations on Power Sets, Costumes, Builds, Temporary Powers, and Naming Structure. So it is definitely not for everyone! All Angel powers are based on Elemental, Non-Tech Weapons, and Hand Combat. No Tech Weapons, Powers, Shields, or Tech Temporary Powers are allowed. However, Mission Teleport, Team Teleport, Assemble Team are allowed for game play.
As in all Challenge SGs (Such as an All Blaster or an All Huge Themed one), the Limits ARE what Challenges you and sets it apart from basic SGs. Angels of Avalon is based on the Legends of King Arthur and City of Heroes Lore. The Isle of Avalon (The Base) also contains the hidden locations of the 7 Mystical Wonders of the World that you can explore.
We play as an SG on Saturdays at 4pm CST (5pm EST) However, you can play anytime you wish if that day and time is not good for you. We only ask that you play your Angel at least once per month to remain Active (which is a ridiculously easy to do.) Our Base Code is AOA-32721 (Be sure to read the signs on the Island’s paths so you don’t get lost)
This Data / Template / Manual is written to provide you with the most information possible about the SG. It may seem long, but it reads fast!
To join the Angels of Avalon you must meet the (Challenge Requirements) of the SG Below:
Archetypes (ATs)
Tech based characters and powers, as well as inherently evil ones, are not allowed. The following ATs are NOT allowed In the SG. (We don’t like their kind!)
1) VEATS (Widows, Fortunatas, Arachnos Soldiers, Crab Soldiers)
2) Kheldians (Peacebringers or Warshades)
3) Masterminds
Prohibited Powers
Primary and secondary powers that aren't Elemental or are Tech based or have NON-Tech powers with no elemental versions available, are NOT Allowed. These are:
Melee – War Mace, Spines, Staff, and Stone.
Range – Assault Rifle, Beam, Dual Pistols.
Shields – Stone
Secondary – Devices
Support – Force Field, Pain, Dark Miasma, Poison, Traps, Trick Arrow.
Control – Arsenal Control, Dark Control.
Dom Attack –Arsenal, Dark, Thorn
Pool Powers –Experimentation, Medicine
Epic/Patron –Arsenal, Mace, Leviathan, Weapons.
All Other Melee and Ranged Powers are allowed that are NOT listed in the restrictions above.
Required and Allowed Custom Powers
The Following two (2) Powers, and Costume Parts, are required in building an Angel.
Travel – Flight or Mystic Flight (you can have additional travel powers if you wish).
Wings – Angel Wings for Pure Mode and Battle Mode (But NOT for Earth Mode)
These Elemental Versions of Weapons ARE Allowed and must match the hair color the Angel has chosen. These Customized powers are as follows:
a) Katana, Broad Sword, Dual Blades, Titan - (Fire & Ice – Elemental) Earth & Battle Mode Hair Color
a1) Katana, Broad Sword, Dual Blades, Titan - (Fire & Ice – Elemental) Pure Mode White Color
b) Axe – Infernal &Axe. Aura – (Bio Plasma / Fist-Right-Combat) Earth & Battle Mode Hair Color
b1) Axe – Infernal Axe & Aura – (Bio Plasma / Fist-Right-Combat) Pure Mode both White Color
c) Bow – Vanguard Bow & Aura – (Bio Plasma / Fist-Left-Combat) Earth & Battle Mode Hair Color

d) Claws – Vanguard Blades & Aura – (Bio Plasma / Fists-Combat) Earth & Battle Mode Hair Color

Body
All Angels are Female with Human body parts. Arm tattoos are only allowed on Earth Mode Costume which must be approved by a leader. There are No Extreme, Tech, Monster or Animal Heads allowed. The Scales below are for continuity and flexibility within the builds.
SCALES: (Female)
Height – 5’5” to 6’
Physique – From 10% Before Center to 10% After Center
Shoulders – Center
Chest – Any Size
Waist – Smallest
Hips – Any Size
Legs – Center to Longest
Face A – Face 1 through Face 30, Young Face 1 through Young Face 15
Face B – None, Makeup Lip Color, and Makeup 1 through Makeup 5, (No Extremes)
Skin Color – Any Natural Color, but no Extremes in any direction
Hair – Any Normal Hair + Victorian, Gunslinger, Victory Laurel and Club
(But, No Beehive, No Large Spiked nor Any Other Styles and Types)
Hair Color – Any
Ears – Normal
Costumes
There are 3 main Costumes required in the SG. They are attached as Rich Text (rtf) Instruction files that you can click on, Download, and Read. There are No Head Pieces, Face Pieces / Markings, Auras, Tails or Pets Allowed on any costume.

Earth Mode Costume is more of a casual style to fit within society. All powers will match as close to the hair color wherever possible. There are NO Angel Wings in Earth Mode.

Pure Mode Costume is an Angel in her purist form with White Angel Wings. (No clothes, belts or shoes) This mode is for Normal Missions, Arcs, Radios, Tips, Etc. All Powers will be as white in color as possible. However, Hair will always remain its original color

Battle Mode Costume is Angel Battle Armor for more Intense Events, Task Forces, Trials, etc. Battle Mode will have all powers, including Ascension Accent colors, match hair color wherever possible.

COH Costume Files
These COH Costume Files are also available. You can install all 3 (one at a time) by Clicking then Downloading to the
( Costumes Folder in COH ). The costume files will then be available when you start the game and make your Angel. You then click the LOAD Tab in the Tailor Session of the Character Creator and select the correct costume. Once your Angel is done you can add the other Angel costumes at ICON or a Trainer into your other slots by clicking the LOAD Tab in the Tailor Session of the Character Creator.

Naming Structure
Naming your Angel is easy. It involves using Angel as the 1st Name. The 2nd name is based on your primary or secondary power. If the power name is not available. You can use another language to make that Power’s name.
Example:
Angel Fire can be renamed to Angel Ignis (Latin). Angel Ice can be renamed to Angel Kori (Japanese)
Member / SG Setup
The following Parameters are part of the SG’s Setup in order to keep things fair for all players:
1) There is only room for 15 of each type of AT for a total number of 150 characters.
2) There is a limit of two (2) Angels from one REAL Person. You cannot have 2 ATs of the same type.
3) This is done to allow at least 15 people to have a chance to make the AT they would like.
4) Having 2 ATs MAX means you’ll actually play them. (5 or 10 usually results in none being played.)
5) Once the 15 limit for one AT Type has been met, that AT type will no longer be accepted in the SG.
6) You can always delete or remove an angel and replace her with one you prefer to play.
7) There are 10 floors in our Angel Tower in the Base. Each floor has 15 pedestals for Angel Statues.
8) An Angel Statue represents a player with their power name placed on the base of the Statue.
9) Players get to pick the Pedestals that are open that they wish their statues to be mounted on.

We apologize for this lengthy SG Post. But, we wanted to provide as much information as possible in one place in order to be clear what the parameters are for the SG. It may seem like a lot, but in truth it is basically about the Costumes, Lore, and Having Fun. (Yes, Fun!) We know its not for everyone, but that’s what most Challenge SGs are about.
