  1. Based on my flow I think the issue was originally a very out of date video driver in conjunction with the latest update. Setting Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\CoH\screenx to 800 and Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\CoH\screeny to 0 in the registry forced the client to reset the video settings to default, which fixed the issue.
  2. HAHA I WIN. Set the X and Y to invalid values, game client detected this and reset them, and now 64 bit client works.
  3. Set resolution to 1024 x 768 and disabled full screen, error message went away but behavior returned.
  4. Is there a config file I can edit to set the display mode, or a command line switch I can add in options?
  5. After numerous updates I got in via safemode, tweaked the graphics settings and then backed out to try the 64 bit client:
  6. Nuked fonts.pigg, it brought it down again, pressed play and same behavior.
  7. gonna nuke the piggs and see what happens when it copies them down again

  14. Sure its totally possible that there where 1000+ bids at 554 or less, and then on the morning of a server reset, someone added a bid for 555 x 4 and got lucky because it just so happened that someone listed 4 recipes at 555 or less. Recipes that are extremely hard to come by, and well known to be worth 10m each. That is a thing that could have happened.
  15. This is a free game provided by wonderful people and I am grateful to have it. Thank you. That said, this would seem a bit blatant? If it is what I think it is, it doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the game that much, just a little disappointing. If its not, happy to be wrong.
